Had an unfortunate incident with my L3560. Lifting trusses, one got sideways and slammed into the top of the cab shattering the winshield. Also cracked and put a hole in the top.
I think the window frame is not bent, haven't looked too closely yet, too damn cold for that.
Wondering how big of a project it is to replace the windshield?

Also how big of a project to replace the top? The top is mostly cosmetic damage, so may use some RV roof repair material I have laying around.

Thanks!

When Spring comes....
..measure the frame REAL good, to be 100% certain it's not bent, twisted, warped, ??, etc.
see what K wants for the glass, then call autoglass places. if it's just 'flat' glass it HAS to be cheaper....
if going 'aftermarket', make a template so you KNOW the new one will fit.
have a look at the online parts diagrams....might need the 'rubber' ?
for sure it's a real WARM day job....

This is going to be a spendy repair. I am going to guess that the top will exceed $1000 and no telling what Kubota will want for the glass.

No insurance? Things like this have me considering using KTAC instead of my HO. $250 vs $2500 deductible.

Yep, I have a $2500 deductible. Glass from Kubota is $450. Top is $1,700 I believe. I can make it work. RV roof repair tape, DICOR sealant and it will be all good.

Yeah, that deductible is leaning me towards KTAC. That plus every claim made to HO raises premiums, and HO is high enough as it is. KTAC is more like having car insurance on the tractor than HO will be. HO still covers liability from the tractor without paying extra, but comprehensive/collision/theft has better coverage under KTAC. Costs a little more but the coverage is far greater. Yours is an example to use that is leaning me towards it when the tractor is ready to pick up. $2150 in repairs is a lot to dish out. That $1900 would pretty much cover the cost of the KTAC for the period of the loan.

It's a gamble though as you only get payback if something is damaged, but when it does, well worth it IMO.
