Will this tube fit?

I've got a BX2670 with turf tires. One of the fronts has a gash on the side wall that is no longer being sealed by slime. Rather than replace it, I'd like to try a tube.

The tire size is 18x8.5 10, but the closest tube I can find is 18x8.50/9.50-8. Will I be able to squeeze the 8" tube over the 10" rim?

I should clarify, the rim/bead diameter is 10", but the inner diameter of the wheel is much smaller. If I could squeeze the tube over the outer bead, then it would probably sit loose until it was inflated.

I'll look into the ATV sealant too.

Thanks. I ended up pulling the tire off the rim and patching it. So far its working fine. (although getting the beads to re-seat was a hassle)

This is an old post but it comes up first in goggle searches so I figured I'd post a helpful reply.

18x8.5-10 means 18 inch diameter tire, 8.5 is the tire section width -10 means the rim is 10 inch diameter. So question is will a 18-8.5-8 tube fit. The 10 inch rim diameter is larger than an 8 inch rim diameter so an 8 inch tube will actually be a little over sized as far as space (i.e. it has some slack).

So will a 18x8.5/9.5-8 tube fit?

Yes they will. I put them in my tractor tires 3 years ago and haven't had any issues.

This is for TUBES! New tires have to be the same rim diameter.
