B7100 D750 runs well but blows a little white smoke. More so at start up. Is it ok to run until I resolve the issue ? This tractor has not been ran in over 6 years.

Simple answer... Nope... White smoke is bad!
White means coolant leak.

Does it constantly smoke or just occasionally? Is the smoke white or gray? Does it have a sweet smell?

if you have constant white smoke and a sweet smell then you have a problem.

Occasional puffs of gray smoke isn’t unusual with diesels and I would’t worry about it...keep an eye out for changes. Keep monitoring your fluid levels as your daily check.

This maybe true, I do not know. But in 18 years I never saw even one puff of white or gray smoke come out of either of my Kubota tractors...

White smoke in a diesel can indicate ineffective fuel burn in the combustion chamber dumping raw fuel into the exhaust. Possible causes range from clogged filter, bad head, faulty injector, intake gasket. If it was me, and it was an occasional puff that didn't sting my eyes (Raw fuel), I'd run it like it is. If it is constant or worse under acceleration, it's important to figure out and fix before it gets too expensive. If it only does it when it's cold, then goes away, it could just be condensation in the pipe.

My old beast occasionally puffs a little smoke, looks white, but is actually oil smoke, kind of a light blue.
Worst on startup when cold, almost completely gone when warmed up or hot. Coolant hasn't ever dropped, and it sips a little engine oil, maybe a pint a year under my current light use. If it's oil smoke, run it until the state hires you to fog for mosquitos.

Hydraulic fluid or coolant can puff white smoke. Fuel and oil are usually black or blue smoke.
White smoke at startup can be condensation, especially if stored outdoors.
Bottom line: cannot provide a safe answer to your question Based on this information. How many hours operation total on the machine? Does the smoke blow continuously? Or only immediately after startup? Does it blow smoke under heavy load or only when lightly loaded? Have you run a compression test? Have you serviced the fuel system...? And did you find any water in it? Is the fuel you’re running fresh?

Alright revisited the issue. Short on tractor time wife wants me to finish remodel.
check oil 1Qt to much! Drain Qt.
Start tractor about 10 seconds white smoker then went away. Smoke from under engine though Maybe oil residue burn off?
Old fuel lines new diesel though. I’ll be replacing soon

Smoke from underneath is probably coming from the breather tube.

On my L3301hst, I was experiencing a lot of white smoke. I tried a number of things. It ended up being that there was water in the diesel. I drained the tank and put in new diesel and the white smoke issue was resolved. Hope this helps
