It seems to me the tractor should have two sets of gears in the PTO housing. You remove a snap ring on the back, pull out one shaft and install another to change speeds. One shaft engages one set of gears, the other shaft engages the other set of gears.

The two speed Whites I’ve dealt with (very little) work like this:

Not swearing that’s how the 2-105 works. I think the guy in the video is demonstrating on a 135. But your pic shows 540RPM splines running 1000RPM? And a reverser?

I’ve never seen one with a reverser. Looks like you’ve got a pretty weird setup there.

Its strait single set inside I think I'm stuck with 1000 ....

I have to look it up the reverse pto slot exists for specific things for loading grain I guess. It was an option apparently.

I think the 540 spline was because they ran a 540 implement and it let it just sit there and idle to run it.

It's incredible it's so specialized I have 2 pto slots and both are useless haha.

I’m confused by your question!!! You are asking if the tractor you posted a picture of can use 540 because it has 1000, but the picture you posted is 540 PTO shaft!!! Is your picture not the actual tractor or are you confused??

It's a 540 shaft that spins 1000. They do that for low load things because you can idle the tractor to run it.
