I have some fresh ground that i want to make into a veggie garden this spring, i have a B7200 with a FEL and a tiller, a potato plow. i was thinking a boxblade or maybe an open blade for scraping the top turf off, any advice about the right tool for the job? thanks!

On new ground, I would turn it with a plow or run the tiller over it first pass shallow to strip off the sod and then at full depth to till.

There's a couple of different ways you could tackle it. As Kingcreek mentioned go over it lightly with the tiller and dont pluck to deep down and take the top layer off. The grading box with the teeth down will work as well.

When I wanted a new garden spot in my field. I tilled it as deep as I could (3 passes). Waited about 1 week till the exposed roots died. Tilled it again (2 or 3 Passes). Waited another week -one more tilling session and planted. I did not have any trouble with the grass starting to regrow.
