Thanks, but not sure that's accurate anymore. Not any steel foundries in the US making tractors below 100 hp last I was told. None of the plants could meet emissions standards so thats when most stuff went overseas. Seems now that stuff only gets assembled here. I know like the deere 3025e, 3028e, 3032e and 3038e were coming from indochina last I heard. I don't think we'll ever really know about some of this stuff. Seems like there are people that dont want anyone to know so we only see what they want us to seeWhere are Kubota's manufactured?
I read that "more than half of all Kubota's are manufactured in Georgia" and that engines are made in Illinois. I was interested primarily in the L60 series tractors, does anybody know where these tractors are manufactured or assembled? It's pretty accurate still. Foundries dont make tractors. They make parts. Gamut (formerly AAM) operates ten foundries in the USA to produce a host of drivetrain parts for things as small as cars and as large as big bore drills. Thanks, but not sure that's accurate anymore. I am sure the tag on your tractor is correct.Tag on mine reads “Made in Japan”
Perhaps similar to: "what the definition of is is"?
Parts made in Japan, assembled in US.I am sure the tag on your tractor is correct.
I just wonder what the definition of "Made in Japan" really is.

Actually I don’t believe this to be the case. The larger L series tractors are assembled here in the States and are marked as such on the serial tag. The 2501’s are shipped here from Japan. Messisk’s has a video on decoding Kubota serial numbers which may be helpfulParts made in Japan, assembled in US.
