So on the 'drivers side' of my machine, there is a riveted manufacturers info plate and on it is the make and model of my machine (Kubota B8200D) and the engine designation (D950) and some other info (see pic).

Where would i find my serial number?

I think it is also stamped into the side of the transmission housing.
Look for a raised flat boss with numbers stamped into it

most of the older tractors like these will just have the serial # stamped directly into the side of the Clutch housing (what most would call the transmission tunnel), and most will have written like this B8200D-XXXXX . ;)

Winner Winner chicken dinner. "Passenger side" of the tunnel, stamped in. Kind of hard to read and blends in well. Thanks:)
