seek out the numerous threads on this topic. Big one is linked in the Ulitmate READ ME which presently sits directly above your opening post.

( hint.. being that it is new, most likely Messicks http://www.messicks.com/ or Coleman http://www.colemanequip.com/ )

I don't know why this same question comes up so often, surely one would get the manuals from the dealer as a part of the sale?

Something a newbie to tractors does not think about when they buy a tractor. Their familur with the automotive world where they are not so expensive and the cornor auto parts store may have them.

AFTER they buy a tractor and they realize the manuals are not at the local auto parts store; it i$ to late. They are then left $earching to $ave $ome money cause as we all know here they are DAMN EX$PENSIVE a$ gold.

Are you saying I should have got a Service Manual as part of the sale?? I Got the Operators Manual for the Tractor & Loader but a Service Manual is a whole different deal.. :)

I think the point that 100 TD is suggesting is that you can often get the dealer to throw in a service manual as part of the deal when you buy a tractor. If you wait until after the fact to get one the manuals are ridiculously expen$ive.

Hindsight is 20/20.

I've been around (old) tractors all my life - never gave a WSM a thought when I bought mine.

I think I was too excited about buying the tractor!!:cool:

When I decide to up-size - won't happen again.........

Coach, ya' know 100 td has a great point. ;)

I wasn't smart enough to get one at purchase. My wife often says I'm not too smart......

A lot of our new owners will lurk around and post on the Buying Section before they actually buy the machine.

Maybe a Sticky can be put there for buying tips?

In Order to tell you what P/N the proper WSM is, you would need to give me the complete model Like (Ex. L3560 HSTC).

You're not going to find an aftermarket WSM for that model, too new. ;)

NIW is right, I ended up ordering mine from my dealer, ain't cheap, but I got free shipping by having it included with another order they needed from Kubota. The shop manuals are not printed until they are ordered, the dealers no longer even keep or get one with a tractor when it is ordered. They can access them online as needed, and the supposed advantage is that they can be updated. I don't know if Messick's or Coleman's keep a paper copy in stock or if they have to get one from Kubota every time someone orders one.

Well we still have a slight issue:
A GST Is not a Gear Shift Transmission.
GST stands for glide shift transmission and is like an automatic that can change gears without using the clutch.
A geared L3560 has a DT designation as they did not make a 2wd in that model.

OK, does the shifter gate have an H pattern or just front to back with an offset or two?

If it is truly a GST and you've been clutching between gear shifts you really need to read the operators manual because your not doing the tractor or yourself any favors clutching and shifting.
You also do not need to clutch between directional changes or when taking off from a start. Just put it in the gear you want and then push or pull the shuttle into forward or reverse and then you can vary the gear on the fly just by pulling the shifter to the gear you want.

Now if it's a DT then yes continue to clutch all the time. ;)
