hmm, nice and clean, no oil, 2 threaded 'stud' with smooth in the middle.
could be used to mate two pieces together, like cylinder head to block, rockshaft to differential case ?
either grab a good light and inspect the entire tractor or.. go online to 'parts pictures' and see if you can find where it came from.
One thing for sure , find out where it goes and reinstall PDQ, it's BIG enough to be IMPORTANT !!!

Its about 3” long x 1/2” found it where i normally park 7060.
Looks very much like a manifold nut and stud.

The fact that the nut is screwed down against the barrel and it backed out suggests the base end was not screwed all the way in before the nut was torqued.

Be glad you found it. When reinstalling it, back off the nut and use an additional nut to lock in the stud, then tighten the original nut to specs..

I can’t tell from the picture but if one side of the stud is threaded longer than the other then perhaps it was installed backwards? Just make sure you have it installed correctly when you figure out where it goes.
