Where are you mounting your switches?

I am working on installing additional lights for the front and rear of my MX6000. I made a mount for the lights that uses factory bolt locations, and should have no problem running the wires. The only thing I haven't figured out yet, is where and how I want to mount the switches. I prefer not to drill into any factory plastic or metal panels if possible, but obviously the light switch needs to be easy to reach.

So lets see how you all did yours to give me some ideas and inspiration.

I took the redneck approach and put a switch on each light. There is a hole at each corner of the canopy, so I used that to mount the lights. The L35 is compact enough that I can reach them while seated. I thought I'd be able to take the lights apart, drill a hole, and mount the switch. But the LEDs are pretty much glued together so I ended up making sheet metal brackets and mounting them externally. Doesn't look too professional but it works. I often use the lights for area lighting, so being able to turn on just one, or both on one side works out. I used switches with pilot lights so I can find them in the dark.

Yeah, unfortunately I don't have any empty holes or switches for that matter.

I didn't add any switches on my tractor. However, I have looked into adding some more on my Ranger. Companies make nice panels to hold rocker switches. I would do something like this one. It would be also an opportunity to add other types of connectors like USB etc.

On my MX6000, my LED light kit had a wiring harness with a switch. I zip tied the wire harness up one side of the ROPS and it turned out that the switch was half way up the ROPS. I just have to turn around and turn on the rocker switch.

On my BX2680 I put them in the panel on the right fender Where the deck lift is. One is for lights and one is for 12v to a trailer pump. Deleted the pictures but they are in this thread.

ROP Bar - Light Mounts

2-3/4" wide. 3/8" × 3-1/2" short × 6" long Aluminum "L" Now I need to decide on some lights to mount to them. I also plan to use the same mounts for lights on the boom. Mounts flipped. Temp Lights? **The frame seen under the top of the ROP Bar is WIP for a roof.**
