where and who builds the L4600?

im still looking at a L4600 HST 4x4 i just cant get a straight answer! iv seen some tags on tractors saying "assembled in Thailand" had dealers tell me there made in USA others say Japan. what the heck does "assembeled" mean? does anyone out there have any idea who and where builds what on these L4600's?

Built by Kubota.

They have a new plant in Thailand and one or two in the US now. I hear the 4600 is built in Thailand, some L tractors are built here, some in Japan. All are the same high quality.

Assembled means where all the components are put together.
The components, gears, seals, shafts, bolts, and on and on, could have been made anywhere, it's just a matter of where the manufacture, in this case Kubota, gets it's parts from, then they are brought together and assembled into a working tractor.
The sum of all parts equals a whole!

There are many "things", (even some motorcycles) that proclaim to be made in america when actually the more true statement would be "Assembled in the USA" Oh boy, hope this did not open a can of worms. Take a look at toyota..... they have a plant where I live that actually builds the parts for some of their vehicles and then assembled in another state.....so I guess it swings both ways....

I will have to agree with Bluegill. If it's a Kubota you know that the quality will be high. Even if their factory is in Thailand.

The L4600 is no different of a Kubota product than any others, just assembled at a different plant. Its still Kubota manufactured parts, assembled by Kubota trained employees and backed by a Kubota warranty. Its a total non-issue. I love my L4600 and highly recommend that model.
