I ordered the Land Pride Grapple (SGC0548) with the Third Function Valve kit for my BX. While waiting for it I watched some YouTube videos on installing it by Paul Short.

Paul noted that his Third Function Valve Kit was missing a couple of fittings (the quick-disconnects). He said he went to his dealer and the dealer had three kits but all missing the couplers - so he warned "make sure those parts are not missing when you get yours".

So my Grapple is delivered Monday. I immediately check for the couplers and they are in the bag. Great, ready to start installing this weekend.

Now I find that there are four fittings missing (but the quick-connect couplers are in the bag), the mount for the Control Head is missing, and the Grapple does not have the "kickstands" attached.

So I'm missing seven items. :(

What gives? Does Land Pride have any quality control?

Those of you that bought Land Pride implements - is this the norm for them?

Did you purchase the LP items through your local Kubota Dealer? or any dealer for that matter? I would follow up with them, boxing up the grapple and taking it back and laying it at the dealers feet, explain the situation, and DO NOT let them charge you anything more for the freight or shipping of the parts that are missing. If you paid by credit card initially, Tell the dealer unless it is dealt with that you will be reversing the payment. Of course that is pretty drastic, I would still take a strip out of your dealer, as they should inspect the whole unit prior to selling it to you, If they are handling a product for Land Pride, they should due-diligence and make sure what you are purchasing is correct and complete. Customer satisfaction and loyalty certainly seem to becoming a thing of the past... It's a shame....

Cheers

Roger and BTW Merry Christmas!!

Yes, I bought it from my local Kubota dealer. I already e-mailed them about the situation and I'm sure they will get me the missing parts at no charge - but now I'm back to waiting again.
And yes, the dealer should have inspected the contents when they received it instead of (I'm assuming) just delivering it straight to me.

Quality control had dropped greatly in the last couple of decades. Most companies see a human as a waste of money in the position.

However, a simple check scale would've told them they were missing something.

No excuse for missing metal parts in shipments like that. The check scale method is pretty foolproof in these types of situations.
