What’s the difference in left/right auger on F5220 snowblower.

I’m restoring F5220 snowblower and noticed just now that one is badly bent. As I started to assemble it I had no idea there is a difference between right and left auger. I guess I’m replacing the bent one as the price is reasonable. So how do I figure out what side is what. I haven’t a clue but I’m sure somebody out there knows. Please help.

As the turn the push snow down and to the middle.
If you put them in backwards they will push up and to the outside.

hmm any chance there's an 'L' on the left one ? If not can you imagine the 'fun' at the end of the assembly line ???

So if I took them off and not know the difference which I did how do I know which is which.
Couldn't you compare the auger to the pictures you just showed?

Found a pic of one up for auction. Same auger orientation.

I should be able to figure that out. Thanks Soo much. I had them powder coated so if there is an “L” I don’t think i could find out. Thanks for the responses.

In the picture that Dustball posted, the augers are out of sync with each other. One auger should be turned 180 degrees to the other so they bring the snow to the middle evenly. The way they are now, it will bring the snow to the middle in surges.

Understood. Thanks. There’s a label on blower that tells you that as well. Got my work cutout for me. Thanks again for all the info. I’ll start taking it apart tomorrow.

While they are out, install a grease fitting on the impeller that moves the snow to the chute. Not that it is supposed to rotate, but the grease will keep it from rusting making it difficult to remove for service in the future. Same with the augers.

Last time I’ll bug you guys. Took a video of auger from front but I guess I can’t post videos . Need to replace left bent one which from the drivers seat is actually the right side part number. The blades are pushing the snow down and to the middle. How great is it when you can go to a website like this and resolve any concerns related to our Kubotas and you’re sure to get an answer. Thanks so much.
