I saved this on my HD. Somewhere I have the articles printed in US News and World Report declaring in the '70's climate change would be so cold man would have a hard time surviving.

I live in a kind of residential neighborhood, although the only house close is a couple hundred feet away. The rest are maybe a thousand feet or so. Maybe 800 feet? Never cared.

Anyway, I remember a friend stopping by, and commenting on the neighbor's tractor noise when he was cutting grass. Amazingly, I never noticed it. Just thought it was the way things worked I guess.

Accept that I am a weirdo...Just me...
I am wearing ear plugs as I write this. I have been told heightened sensory sensitivity may be a sign of being on "the spectrum" with regard to mental health disorders. I consider it a vestige from my former existence as the most dominant of the Siberian wolves. After that I worked in a Dairy Queen for a while.....

Wife and I just recently sold up and moved to a rental house where the whole neighborhood is rentals.

Property manager takes care of all the yard work for the neighborhood.

I could care less if I hear a leaf blower or mower. For the first time in 13 years I'm not the one out there doing it. 👍👍👍👍👍🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

13 years is just a blink of the eye when you get older!

You must still be a kid!

LOL…probably not the case…but might be. If so, good for you! I would jump back in time if I could…

In between properties. Last break from mowing was 15 months when I moved to Arkansas.

We are waiting for the bottom to fall out from the housing market. And then will purchase something else.

Right now housing prices are stupid high so we took advantage and sold 😎😎😎😎

I remember back in the70s we were being told a mini ice age was impending on us. Didnt happen, now the world is burning up, polar bears are drowsing, ice burgs are melting coastal cities are going to be under water, solar flares are going to cook all our electronics,,, and the lists go on. Every change that is going on now has happened before and will happen again long after we are gone. I am looking for the article from one of the think tanks, that stated the eruption of one or more volcanos puts more pollution in the air and water than all of human evolution combined. Change is inviable and nothing we as a species can do will change it. Just MHO

Finding a rental at the moment is nuts. We got lucky and there is a pretty high end property management company in our area. They build whole neighborhoods that are rentals. Mainly houses, but they also will throw up 20 or so duplexes. All high end luxury homes.

We ended up renting from them. We figured if we are gonna be paying a premium price, we want something nice. Only draw back is no fenced in yard for the dog. So lots of walks and picking up after her.

People are asking premium prices for ghetto properties. Then will get 10 or so potential renters together for a viewing. Then pick the best candidate.

It's like your back in elementary school and getting picked last for the kick ball game.

Then certain breeds of dogs are banned. We happen to have one of the banned breeds. So that bumped us out of several properties automatically.

I would research property managers in your area first to see whats available for rentals as well as requirements and exclusions before taking the plunge and selling.

I am at a loss for words...and realize this seems to be a political post, but really it is a post related to common sense in daily life.

Gas power leaf blowers are banned starting this new year? How much impact can these things have compared to gas powered vehicles? Gas powered lawn mowers...etc, etc...

Apparently this law had delayed implementation and came into effect with the new year.

For residents of Washington, DC, it's gas-powered leaf blowers.
A regulation passed in 2018 outlaws the use of the tools by residents and landscapers, and carries fines of up to $500.

My better judgement told me not to post this, but it is just such a crazy thing I could not help myself... :ROFLMAO:
Trust me. I’m sure that whoever has the government contracts for the fed land and congressional houses will be exemp. They are only trying to f=—- everyone else.

Our state has banned all gas powered engines under 25 hp starting in a few years. Should generate all kinds of stupid workarounds and trips to Nevada…
Does that surprise you. Your state is a joke and everyone with any sense has moved to Idaho, Nevada or Texas

I was looking at airflights and noticed that some sites now post the 100s of KGs of CO2 the plane will create during the flight !!!
Got me wondering how many daily flights are there in say USA or Canada and the TOTAL MILLIONS of CO2 created by them...
oh yeah ,car gas went up 10c due to the Trudeau Carbo Tax grab.. I KNEW I should have filled up last year...
Did it also tell you the CO2 created by the private planes used by the idiots passing these laws used?

thanks for the compliment 😎

hard to give you crap cause you are right. I was born and raised here and can tell you that the place has been destroyed…figuratively and literally. Luckily, we have a place way up in the mountains and away from most of the aggressive stupidity.

I sure hope you're right skeets my friend but don't blame me for being skeptical about it.
