Whole beef tenderloin on the grill.

Despite the thyme, rosemary, garlic, olive oil, etc., all I can smell is ethyl mercaptan....

One of my all time favorites that I look forward to making with left over Christmas ham.

Having a good grilled ham and cheese sandwich the next day. This time around it's spiral cut honey ham with Colby/ Jack cheese 😁😁😁😁

Rainy and miserable today so I decided on some comfort food to ring in the new year. Thawed out a 7lb chuck roast yesterday.

This morning I mixed up 1/4 cup of worchestershire sauce, 1/4 cup of soy sauce with some powdered brown gravy mix. Added 1/2 cup of water to it and poured it over the meat.

Tinfoiled the baking pan and cooked for 4 hours at 250 degrees. At 1pm I added chopped onion, taters and carrots 😁😁😁😁 cooked for another 4 hours at 250 degrees.

Came out really good. Meat falls apart 🤓🤓🤓

Got to try out my Christmas presents today. A waffle iron and a new bacon/ pancake pan.

Gonna take a bit to get the waffle recipe correct. They had good flavor but were pretty chewy.

Fried seafood is our traditional New Years Eve dinner. Shrimp and scallops this year. 16-20 shrimps and 10-20 scallops are good sizes.

I don’t need anymore practice prep/breading, gave up doing butterfly shrimp years ago. Actually I think they fry better without the butterfly step.

I grind up stale saltine or Ritz crackers for the second coat of breading.

Looks good 🤤

I got the fryer out too on New Years Eve. Made some chicken tenders, tater skins and mozzarella sticks (first attempt at homemade ones 🤣)

Ford - I make pretty mean homemade chicken tenders. Cut to preferred size (I like them kinda large and thick), salt and pepper, then just egg and Italian bread crumbs. Shallow fry in lower grade olive oil. Not too hot, since using olive oil.

Magic - dang that looks good! I love a good hot dog with Texas Hot sauce. 👍

We had 30” of snow a couple weeks ago, and freezing rain all night.

We’re doing Speidies on the grill today just to make some summer food.

Not cookin, but related.

Our vacuum sealer is a simple one to try it. We do use it quite a lot.

Doesn’t have rollers/cutter, etc. I made one out of stuff I had. Will do up to 11” rolls, and the cutter is my pocket box cutter.

It’s also ambidextrous......for us Lefties.....

In the background, Ollie the Boxer doesn’t seem impressed either way....
