I do not like when my butt crack is being stretched across the saddle. I have some steep grades that I mow. I was doing all kinds of angles but it never felt good. Plus, I have some surprise sink holes where old stumps are collapsing. Except where it is not possible, I cut straight up and down and the down is backing down. I get a pretty good run across the bottom where it is level and charge up the hill. Right as I reach the crest, I lift the mow deck (center mount) to avoid scalping the top. Anything I can't get that way, I hit with the weed-eater.
When I was making one of my terraces, I had the low side front tire sink in. The angle scared the the wits out of me. Can't say where the CG was at. I was lucky I had the FEL/stump bucket on and was able to lift the front tire up and put some rocks in the hole.
