Okay, I don't mind breaking trail for the rest of the pack:
The 'worst' thing wrong with the picture is you forgot to post the link!

Okay, I'm gonna take a SWAG and say 109 bucks (I *think* mine was $89, but no balls or clevis)

So it looks like they din' want the balls and clevis to rattle around (like the pins did -- did they poke a hole in your box? They did on mine, though din' fall out!) so they fastened them down. Titan prolly didn't want to insult you by suggesting that you take the balls and clevis off, and put the one you would use most often in the middle hole.

(If I win, please give the kewpie doll to skeets!)

YOU are right too, the pins were taped on but the box was ripped to shreds.

THEY placed it in a HUGE box , like 3'x3'x3'.......
and yes it was 89 bucks shipped WITH BALLS, and CLEVIS and pins

The reason it was so obvious to me is that in my production machine shop days, I worked with a tater-headed machinist who insisted that every threaded assembly needed TWO lock washers- in other words, the above pictured assembly would have a lock washer under the ball, and another one under the nut. The one under the nut would keep the nut from unscrewing, and the one under the ball would keep the ball from unscrewing. No one was ever able to get him to understand why one was sufficient, and virtually every assembly he ever worked on had to be re-worked. They had to keep him off any assembly work, and he finally got laid off.
Same guy insisted he could measure the diameter of a shaft while it was spinning in a lathe- well, one broken & one dislocated finger and a destroyed
1"-2" micrometer later, he learned the error of that train of thought.
Pretty funny to watch I have to admit.:D

There isn't anything wrong with the lock washers, it was made in Australia, they are supposed to be upside down. If it was made in France, it would make your tractor wine. ;):p:D

I can't believe they let a guy with a single digit IQ around a moving machine. Measure WHILE turning? Holy flying measuring sticks Batman! He apparently didn't understand that for a micrometer to work it must be IN CONTACT with the material on both calibrated pads...

My four year old tells me all the time, with absolute certainty, that my way is wrong and some way he just made up is better. So I tell him, "Go ahead my boy, try it your way." Oddly, it usually doesn't work and ends in tears. Then I go, "Hmmm, that didn't seem to work out. You might want to try it the way I suggested at first." It's slowly dawning on him that making stuff up just to act like you know what you're doing doesn't really work! I hope he figures that out before he does serious harm to himself!

Here's something I learned about my wife when we were dating that my step kids already knew  I sliced the side of my index finger really deep on a piece of sheet metal. I go inside and let my wife know that I had a deep cut and would probably have to go get stitches. She took a look and said "oh, I can take care of that!! We have the stuff right here in the cupboard!!" She's a nurse, so I figured why not. It will save on a bill  she pulled out some butterfly sutures and a tube of something. I'm thinking neosporin, since I seen it next to the sutures. So I go through and wash it really good. Then she takes my hand, locks it under her arm with a good grip with her back to me so I can't see what she's doing. I feel her dab it dry, and then all of a sudden it feels like my fingers been doused in gasoline and lit on fire!!!!:eek: My lovely wife doused that cut with super glue :eek::p I ended up lifting her off the floor trying to get my hand back, and the kids learned some new colourful words that afternoon :rolleyes::D Know wonder they were pretty selective as far as how they approached a problem and what they did.

Believe it. The porridge-headed guy who ran our shop truly believed he could turn anyone off the street into a machinist, even if it killed him or someone else, and would never admit when he was wrong, which was most of the time. He even hired a known heroin addict- took almost 10 years to get rid of him. One night I watch him (several times) vibrate right off a chair while sitting in front of a drill press, he had the shakes so bad. Another night he passed out, fell forward , banged his forehead on the drill press table so hard that he knocked himself out- good thing too, he never felt it when his long hair wrapped around a spindle, and pulled out a 3" patch. His crowning achievement came while running a large vertical CNC machining center. He interrupted the program, sent the spindle to the top of it's travel, entered commands that sent the splindle down at several hundred inches per sec , driving a long 2 1/2" end mill through the part, about 12" of fixture, the table, & into the x-axis ball screw, where it welded solid. Machine was out of service for months, took a cutting torch to disassemble it. They still kept him.

Super glue was originally invented as a suture alternative, has even become a fingerprint developer. Now if you really want to feel something on a finger cut, try gentian violet horse cut disinfectant. I have A bottle I found in an old barn, Phone # was Hanover 345 or something like that. Put that on a continuously bleeding pointer finger, that had smashed through a pocket watch face, and twisted off all the skin, in an area over the first knuckle. Stopped the bleeding, but sent the pain level up to 100 for about an hour...

I would have been perfectly fine if she would have just explained what she was doing and let me assist. I was expecting neosporin  I'm used to getting brake cleaner and solvents in cuts. Doesn't bother me if I know it's gonna hurt like hell :D
