What would be the reason to deliver a new tractor with this problem

Upon delivering my L2501 HST Kubota brand new tractor, I noticed the front axle right side, those 4 bolts that secure the front gear case to the bevel gear case have all been "wrenched". If that's the correct word, meaning that the bolt head that secures the (Bevel Gear Case) brake/tire rim assembly to the axle looks like it had been removed and then replaced. The other side had no wrench marks, where the paint had been scrapped off the bolt head, only the right side.
The tractor was supposed to be brand new, was close to 0 hours on it. What's your thinking and why would they have replaced that right wheel assembly?

The L2501 comes crated with the right side axle gear assembly on the shipping crate/pallet. The dealers do the final assembly , set toe in and fill with lube during dealer set up.

Perfectly normal to see the paint off the right hand side bolts holding the gear assembly on.

I did want to mention that there are lots of threads and posts about checking the fluid level in the front axle of these L2501's and similar models due to the dealer set-up and improper fluid levels.

In my case my L2501 was delivered with a tie rod end castle nut cotter key not being installed. The front tie rod ball joint fell off in a few yards of operation.

The toe in was not set and the oil level was low.

I am including a picture of the paint clearly off on the four bolts holding the gear assembly to the end of the axle.

To the dealer's credit they sent out a tech who replaced the crown nut, set toe-in and added fluid post hast after calling them.

That’s a butt-clinching start to your new tractor. Thankfully no damage and all is good. I think I’d have worked the dealer for a Kubota hat at least, lol.

Wow, thats crazy. And it's a good thing you dealt with a great dealer that would come back and fix it for you. In my case I was just curious why a brand new tractor would have those bevel gear case and Frontier case removed for what reason. New tractors shouldn't have any paint off of the bolts, right?

What a great reply. Thank you so much I had no idea. And as old as I am, you don't get there, unless you doubt people sometimes. Better safe than sorry. And I really appreciate your help here. So I'm looking forward to picking up that L3902 HST with the wider tires they are R14s with the 43x16 Rears. In my case I don't see a necessity for other Hydraulics other than the front loader. Never going to use a backhoe or any Implement that uses hydraulic for the rear nor do we get that much snow that I'm going to get a snow plow for the front or a grapple. Thanks again.
