To Fro65 and Lil Foot: That's too funny!! I figured someone would get a chuckle out of my Dakota sized pistol. If only it was real and my grip was strong enough if it was! 
the wood pistol was made many years ago by me when my younger brother was getting married. His "Father in Law to be" used it in the wedding pics as a prop and the wedding photographer tried to buy it off me but I couldn't let it go.
It's just real enough to cause some eyes to bulge when I pull it out of the safe or from a tucked in the pants position (not really a good conceal carry revolver). To aid in the realism, the hammer will cock and fire under an internal spring tension. One day I'll have to make some realistic shells for it.

Like bird dogger, I have a similar picture of my 8-3/4" nickel SW model 29 in .44 Magnum and newer Springfield Armory XDS in .45. The long and short of it.
That said, my 12 gauge Remington 870 Brushmaster makes a sound even the dumbest Intruder wouldn't frig with;[emoji2398]k with when you work the pump action.....the No. 2 birdshot outta that short barrel makes me look like a great shot at 10' compared to either handgun...

My favorite sign is the one I have at the end of the drive to the house....'Protected by ADT'. In reality we are protected by a large black chow (120 pounds) with a bad disposition. Only likes 2 people, my wife and I. Everyone else is dogfood.I want one of these signs

In many states " shooten the finger " is by law a " threat of aggression " and makes the finger pointer a target, but I'm not gonna pull my pistols over that.

Rest assured, at some point in the future, firearms will become illegal to one. Not that the criminal element cares because they don't follow the rule of law (as evidenced by the uptick of crimes committed with firearms in Australia).

Though I'm a life member in the NRA and an annual member of GOA, the NRA has become just another corrupt organization with overpaid exec staff and is top heavy in management. 'Uncle' Wayne needs to go. No one is worth 1.3 million a year.
One thing that irritates me with the NRA is the constant pandering for money. They need it because they are pissing it away at a high rate of speed on inflated salaries, perks and retirement beneies.

Try out a PCP and then tell us about the "Whoosh".
All of mine go BANG! loudly, and a couple of them follow that up with a CRACK! as the pells go super sonic.
No, PCP air rifles are not quiet. Some people fit "Lead Dust Collectors" ;-) But those can get you into hot water if not integral with the barrel. I think the radar reflectivity has something to do with it.
For quiet, think .55 mm , 600fps and CO2 power. Mouse farts! Deadly on tree rats out to about 40 yards. ;-)
