What type of 3 point hitch is compatible with an M62 (cat 1 or 2)

Hello,
I just purchased a very gently used m62 Kubota and was looking to do some road grading with a 3 point hitch attachment. However, the tractor didn't come with a 3 point hitch setup and I am looking to purchase one so I can start adding attachments. Believe it or not, there is not a lot of information (at least not straight forward enough) to get me the one I need. Any advice would be great. I was quoted $1100 from my Kubota dealer on this set up, but this seems like it is too high from other "comparable" I'm finding. (again, I'm not too sure if these are actually compatible with the M62)

Ahh, just saw that you wanted a different route. I just went through this on my L47 and ended up going with the Kubota item. It was around $700.00

AHHH.... anM62 ... a true TLB. Beautiful machines.

Can be either a Cat 1 or Cat 2 depending on how you (or previous owner) choose to set it up.

Looking at Messick's parts diagrams, there seem to be two 3ph kits, the L3951 and L3961.

The L3961 is the Cat 1 system that also fits the L TLB's. It lists for ~$650 - $700.

The L3951 lists for $950 - $1,000. I wonder if it is Cat 2?

Folks complained about bending after-market parts with their L. I bet you could really do a number with your M. I suggest staying with OEM, I'm just not sure which one.

When I got my L4610 it did not have a three point arms or linkage. I found what I needed at ASAP salvage for under $600 which included shipping, At that time the dealer wanted $2200, if you go Cat 2 you can bushing down to Cat 1,

Both the L47 and M62 have the same 3 point lift capacity so I’d go with the cat 1 setup listed for the lower price. Just my $2.

Wonder if the L3951 lift arms could big longer to account for the larger tires on the M62?

Definitely go with Cat2 for your M. My MX has cat 2 and all M suzed machines are cat 2. Cat2 allows you to use big beefy rear blades to realize the full capabilities of your machine. And I’d think that your M would tear up Cat1 ground engaging implements. For lighter duty non ground engaging implements, you can use bushings. I do that with my rotary cutter.

I'd suggest getting the cat1&2 3PH

if you go aftermarket get the telescopic arms and add a hydraulic top link

The optional 3 pt for my L47 that Kubota offers had turn buckle stabilizers and standard lift arms. My dealer was able to fix me up with a set of telescopic stabilizers and extendable lower lift arms, I'm guessing from a GL. I also have a hydraulic top link.
I cost a little more money, but hook up's are much easier especially on heavy implements, bush hog, box blade etc.

BTW I've been Very happy with my EA box blade. It's really well made and does work well as a counterweight.
