Hi all,

Hoping to find what thread is on the right rear lifting rod on my B2601. I bought this used and went to adjust it last week and could not adjust it in or out by hand. I disconnected the bottom and I can run it in or out very easy. The top that is connected to tractor would not budge unless I put a bar through the part on the barrel with a rod. I took it off and finally with some difficulty got it apart. I cleaned all the greese off real well and noticed that there are 3 threads that are buggered up. Not real bad but enough that I would have to use a bar to rotate it up or down to make the fine adjustments.

I was going to see if I could find somebody around me who had a tap and die set. I didn't want to have to buy a new one....$150.00 I figured I would run the tap and die on the threads and it should be just like new. I assume they are metric ?

They are probably 3/4 thread, probably coarse pitch. One will be right hand and one is left hand thread. You can measure it pretty easily.
