I just picked up a BX2670 .Was going to pick up a 5' king kutter from local fleet farm. I called king kutter and they told me to go with there subcompact 4' .
I looked at it but no opening on the back to let the cut weeds ect out.
I wanted to go with 5' to get wider than the wheels.
Will my Bx handle a 5' ?
Never had a 3ph before. Any help would be appreciated.

My mom had a 4' King Cutter behind a 22hp Massey and it was a POS. Worst mower I've ever use. Grass would bunch up inside it and couldn't get out, when this happened it would not cut for a few feet until it belched out the wad. I even cut the back out with a torch, helped but not much. Traded that thing in on a used 5' woods finish mower, best move for all concerned.

I personally would not own a rotary cutter under 5 foot. Not sure what size your tractor is, but hopefully it'll handle a 5 footer.

Factory recommendation for the BX2360 is for a 42 inch cutter. Lots of people report success using a 48 inch.

One report of a 5 ft cutter on a BX said it was too hard to keep the front end on the ground.

The BX2360 is only about 42 wide, so a 48 inch would cover the tracks.

I use a Land Pride 48" on my BX2660 and it works great, I did check with my dealer before buying. No way would I put a 5' cutter on mine, might spin it, but too heavy for me at least.

I'm sold on Land Pride stuff! I would expect their 48" to be much better!!!

Yeah, LP is about all I buy now, BB2584, HR3584, RCR2672, RTR0550 in addition to the 48" cutter. We do own a couple of Woods 10' cutters that I like also. I know there are other good brands, but LP works well for me and I have a great dealer.

Yes same here, but only have the RCR1260 at the moment. I'll have more LP stuff pretty soon.

Will not see any King Cutter mowers here though.

Before I bought my BX1870 and was researching mowers I was warned by a number of knowledgeable tractor owners to not buy any new Woods products.

According to them, the quality has diminished substantially in the last couple of years. My own dealer recommended Land Pride and I have the LP FDR1648, with which I am very satisfied.

As it happened, my older brother recently took delivery of a new Woods finish mower along with a brand new L3800 HST (which is a great tractor, by the way). The first mower had to be returned to the dealer unused... each of the three blade spindles were locked solid. The L3800 PTO could not turn them.

The dealer delivered a new Woods mower when they came to take the defective mower away. According to my brother, the dealer was quite upset and told my brother that now they can no longer take quality for granted when it comes to Woods products.

I spent about 20 minutes using the L3800 and the Woods mower on my brother's property. I advised him to give it a good greasing and consistent inspection as he uses it.

For myself, I am very happy I went with Land Pride.
