What is this loose hose? B2100

Recently bought a B2100. I was changing the air filter and noticed this loose hose. I can't find anything within reach of the hose that it could connect to. Does anyone know what it is for?

Update: I found the other end of the hose. It goes down by the fuel filter and is sealed off. The seal looks kind of homemade. So I'm still wondering what the purpose of this hose is.

There should be a trough around the fuel tank fill neck. The hose should be attached to the nipple on that trough to drain any spilled fuel to the ground.

THANK YOU.... You are correct. The fuel overflow thing is where it connects. I would not have figured that out without your help.

yep, connects to the large nipple that is around the bottom of the fuel cap, any spilled fuel drains to the ground.

On my 2400 it goes out the left side. It gets tucked down along the front of the tank
