What is the best way to fix boom bucket cylinder mount

I am scared to even ask HOW that happened!

IS that the ONLY place that is damaged? I would suspect there are other joints that have been stressed somehow.

Is that pin bent? Cylinder?

TO answer your question - all that is damaged will have to be removed - ground back to raw steel, new pieces made from "good" metal and everything rewelded and then painted. Someone that fabricates and welds could have that looking brand new again.

Ouch that hurts to look at but as 85hokie said it’s fixable. I’d definitely think a few other spots might be outa spec but maybe you get lucky. Find yourself a reputable welder if you don’t already know one.

You may be able to buy that part from the dealer or some salvage yard but that might be too expensive compared to the fix it price.

as others have said, 'cut/grind/weld/paint' ,up and running in less than a day.
Hint. get a new pin ,use to align the tabs, tack weld, confirm alignment, weld for good, allow to cool.....
Sadly, I've seen worse....

Usually a local dealer will have names of fabricators in your area that will do onsite repairs. If the damage is isolated to that area, it shouldn't be too bad to have fixed.

I'm in the process of making a "BH77 Thumb Mount" for my BH75 hoe. I WANT A THUMB!!! I have the plate hanging around, and just picked up some cold rolled solid round to make the collars. Pretty much the same as what you have going on there. GOOD LUCK!!!!

I’m not sure if the other user had this happen and I neglected the daily precheck inspection or not. So, in accordance with the old rule of “you touched it last” I’ll claim it.
thanks for affirming that a new side plate is needed! I will also give testimony to how awesome these machines are! I found it during the second task of the day when changing from forks to the bucket. The first task was removing a log from a fence line. It did wonderful on one cylinder. (we did cut it into 8’ sections) You can see in the pic that it was broken before the log was lifted.
I inspected all other items related to this and all is good that I can see from the painted side.
I’ll post post fix Pics

I'd find someone who has the equipment, ability and knowledge to clean it up and fixed it with a new gusset to give it newborn strength!

To the right shop that would be like fixing soup for lunch to a chief! ;)

Easy fix for a good welder. If your not a really good welder, or professional welder, hire someone. As opposed to buying a welder and learning on that break.

I repeat what others said: How did you do that?

Strange break.

I'd guess the pin worked it's way out of the strong side mount, to be only engaged with the side that broke. Which is the weak side. With support only on the weak side, it couldn't take the pressure.

Or, the pin hole was missaligned from production and put too much stress on the weak side.

Not sure how it happened. All other attachment points and gussets look just fine. The only other thing that bent was the mount point for the level rod.

I'm wondering if the flanges had spread apart enough that the pin came out of one side. It seemed at the time (Jan 2017) that there might be an issue, but didn't get very many users to enter their data. The database was to measure the flanges in two locations to see if we could find a pattern based on the loader model and the serial number, tractor model, etc. The image below was where the measurements were to be taken.
