That is a catch 22. Long ago it seems now. After 10yrs + as a moderator, on a board... was forced into desperation to find a bridge loan to attempt to save my business during the economic crash. Only once let it be known on the board (not here) that could use the help.
Some members of the board took the chance on me and I will never be more grateful. I lost the business anyway and ended up homeless... The original term was 6 months. An investor had promised to come in after a certain date thus it was only to be a quick bridge loan. Invester withdrew last minute with no explanation. Bridge loan was to cover expenses (employee wages etc.) from a point till the "promised" investor funds came in. Paid them back on schedules that worked best as could for them. Overall took me hmmm 3.5 years, in the end, to get them all paid back.
Took to living with no running water or sewer in storage buildings for years when I did find work which allowed me to more swiftly strive toward paying them back. They refused interest though it was originally planned to be interest bearing.
Remained Moderator of that board for several years after got it all paid off. Only left cause no longer owned nor envisioned ever could afford again the type vehicle the board was all about. Granted didn't let my turmoils be known thus very few new anything about any of it thru out the whole adventure.
Life...... it hands us character building experiences. You build with a smile.... or you crumble with despair. Your choice
