What filter is this?

L4060, I thought I bought all the filters for it except the fuel bowl filter. What is the filter that is above the oil filter? It looks like a hydraulic filter, but find no mention of it in the 50 hour service.

I have a L3560 and changed the fuel and oil filters this spring, that is the fuel filter. I also changed the bowl filter and cleaned up the bowl as well. I still need to do the HYD. filters but I'm waiting for cooler fall weather to do it.

Thats what I thought but the fuel lines coming from the separator didn't seem to line up, and one line appeared to run to a cooler in front of the radiator which made me think it was another hydraulic filter. I took the manuals out and put them, somewhere, the other day to check what needed to be done, and now not sure where I put them, hence the question.

You are correct there is a cooler, but it is for the fuel.

It gets packed in there with a cab. In front of the radiator is a cooler for fuel, hydraulics, and ac cond.

OK, that makes sense then. Now other issue to deal with, just popped a code 7 hours after doing the maintenance. EGR system. Great and I have fields to get baled before noon tomorrow to avoid the rains.

Had an l3560 that was bad about overheating the egr valve. It was located too close to the dpf. It would place the machine in reduced power until it cooled off. I ended up insulating the egr valve and it never happened again.

There was a re-call on the EGR valve a while back. The dealer came to my house and picked up my tractor and repaired the defect and returned the tractor at no charge.

There is a PSB concerning the EGR valve getting too hot and setting an Error code.

Due to the exhaust pipe routing being close to the EGR valve, there is a possibility that the EGR valve may overheat and error code P2414 may appear on the display.

When experiencing the above issue, cover the EGR valve with insulation per this bulletin.

I talked to service today and he couldn't pull up anything specific for my Serial regarding the EGR, so said if it comes up again to call them right away, if not, whenever I can bring it in they can hook up a computer to it. One of these days I will get a large enough trailer to transport it, or just drive it there, it's only about 9 miles away. Would take a little under an hour to get there in high gear.
