Last street bike I was on (1986) was a Yamaha 750, was cut off by a Volvo and implanted it into the back of it doing 60mph.
Last off road bike I was on (2016) was a 350 Kawasaki, was doing a 11 hour trail ride, it was the first time I'd been on a bike since 1986, 15min into the ride came around a blind corner, braked for an oncoming forest service truck hit a rut and flipped the bike right on top of myself. Stunned me, but got back on and rode out the rest of the 10 hours and 45 min, the whole time both of my feet and legs hurting really bad.
The next day I couldn't even stand.
The next day got in the next day to see a specialist, hobbling in was killing me, but I did it with help from the wife.
Doc checked me out then said lets get some X-rays.
They were digital X-rays and before I could even get up the X-ray tech and 2 nurses brought me a wheel chair and helped me get on it, to get me back to the exam room.
Then doc came in and said I have no idea how you walked in here, you have broken your right foot completely in half, and shattered your left shin and seriously bruised and hyper extended your left foot.
He was even more shocked that I rode another 10+ hours like that.
I'm pretty sure that's the last time my backside will be on 2 wheels!
