Today, the leaner had to go.

Did a plunge cut in it and well, got the damn saw stuck in it. Not sure how it happened exactly but I used the little saw to complete the job. Friggin tree was hollow...really scary.

He it is...looked worse in person.

I been MIA haha. Haven't done much with the tractor, for nearly a month it rested in the garage. I got it out today though! I cut down a tree this morning that was looking kinda iffy and just ugly.

PXL_20250914_154815791.jpg

Used the logging chain I made for the first time today. Worked awesome!! It felt into a sketchy spot but the tractor had no problem pulling it.

Cut it up in blocks and gave it away at the end of my driveway.

Then after some clean up and a sandwich, I removed a couple stumps. One from this tree and the other from a tree I cut earlier this year.

PXL_20250914_180151465.jpg

I decided to try something and put the pallet forks close together and use them to dig around the stump. It worked better than I thought! It even ripped out a lot of the roots. The big ones I just swung the axe to break them. I mean still wasn't easy but after that, I just pushed on it a few times and it ripped out of the ground finally.

Then I could finally move forward with my drainage line. I only added one section, I had enough for the day.

It's getting there. I really need some clean fill. Gonna need a lot of it. But then again, I don't mind either. It just gives me a project I can do on occasion ya know? But it was nice being back in the tractor again. I definitely pushed it a bit today but that's what it's meant to do!

I can't believe the amount of stuff I got down around the property already with this tractor. I question myself why I didn't get one sooner!!

Finished yup the yard hydrant project. Also had removed several stumps that left some giant craters in the yard. Took the backhoe off (ridiculously easy to do) and used the box blade and land rake to grade everything the best I could.

Problem here are the rocks. Box blade would rip up rocks (which isn't a problem) and I'd go back over that area to fill in the holes left behind and it would then unearth more rocks! It's a perpetual cycle that just kept repeating itself! Had enough for the day and think it at least looks better than before I started.

Thinking I may need to rig up/make some kind of rock collector to get all the little surface rocks.

There is a camp a couple miles down the town road. The drive into it hasn't been touched in a long long time. They asked me if I would put it back into decent shape. It was too rough and boney to just grade out, worse than the picture shows. It flattens and extends for another 60 or 70 feet beyond the top of the curve.

I tail-gated out 4 loads of 3/4" Stay-Mat gravel off my one-ton like this which is my driveway. For a total of 13.5 tons or about 10 yards.

Then I shaped it up with the L3010 and Land-Plane-Grading-Scraper.

Yesterday the l4240 got a new 700CCA battery from RK. It replaced a 5YO Deka. After seeing good reviews and decent prices on RK batteries here, decided to make my first trip to one of their stores. Bonus was finding Purple Power on sale at $5.99 after using the last of our last week. We're about an hour East of the Hanover store. Wish there was one closer. It made our TSC stores look really puny.

Put the jumpers to good use. The plug-n-play ends and length allowed me to stage the Trailblazer well out of the way and still reach the front of the pulled-in Kubota.

Put the totes back in the trailer. We might get a bit if rain later in the week but not enough to do much good.

Do your trailer sides fold down?
(How do you get the forks into the slots on the tote to put them in/out of trailer like that?)

(I know I have mentioned before but I really like that trailer👍)

I’m going to guess they‘re empty at this point. Lifts, tilts, slides off. He does last minute shifting by hand (if needed) and fills them once loaded on trailer. Pure guess.

Bang on. They're easy to wiggle around in the trailer.

My brother moved near a rural king about 7 years ago, it's such an amazing store. Like a Walmart and TSC had a baby but more of the TSC then Walmart. My box blade came from them, absolute best price around, even when looking at used ones at the time.

Batteries are pretty much all made by Johnson Controlls at this point, best price/ warranty is the deciding factor, name on the sticker doesn't much matter.

With favourable dry weather I was able to finish the driveway part out to the road today and after cutting the grass my little G1900 was the first vehicle to drive out and into the driveway :giggle:

If you look closely you can see the green tyre tracks :giggle:

Used the L3901DT and the Brush Hog RTS-50-3 to do some tilling. Man was it dusty, we haven't had ran for close to a month. Trying to get ready for some grass seed.

The rain shut my sawing down today about 2pm, so I loaded up and drove home where we got another flood.....but welcome flood. We were dry.

Wish we would get some rain ... It's a bit dry at my place, about 3/4" total in 3 "storms" in the last 3 months!
