What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

....I've seen bad things happen refueling equipment, and doing it inside can really accelerate the bad!

Maybe guys like myself could use some bullet points on why that's bad? I can think of: fumes, spillage (again fumes), "in case of fire" but that's about it. Constructively it might make for great video content.

(Rumor has it when it's "Wisconsin Winter" cold out I fuel my saws on the workbench before taking them outside so they start easier.)

Reminds me of when I fired up the big backpack Stihl leaf blower in the house. Whoa, the exhaust fumes were strong in there for hours, but there wasn't a speck of dust in the dryer's ductwork after that!

Don't be too hard on yourself Nerwin!! NIW was just making a recommendation from an observation he made. Suggestions like that are how we all learn, or are reminded of safe practices. Complacency is what gets people hurt, or worse. I know I'm for one guilty of it, even small mundane things we've done that way for years can go sideways in an instant. Not saying we need to live wrapped in bubble wrap, the lord knows there are enough people who do that already.

Well, okay, I'm not completely ignorant of the safety factor--I put cardboard on my bench so if there's spillage I can take it outside to air out a bit. AND I don't put oily rags in a closed container.

AND there's a Forestry Service video on not lighting yourself on fire I watched. (STIHL has some videos too, but any one video gets the point across.)

Plus I don't smoke (unless I'm on fire, and that's something worth minimizing).

Hot manifolds, headers or even electrical items can ignite fumes …indoors those fumes are likely to dissipate slower as well.

You can run far and fast, in any direction outside as well

Son refilled gas tank, and apparently overfilled a bit.
Gas and fumes apparently spilled into lower housing area.
Start spark evidently ignited fumes.
Used two 5lb dry chemical extinguishers.
Major disaster!!

I don't believe so. I believe that the dealer I purchased mine from orders a machine a certain way.

I was just curious. Thinking about adding them to mine but I don't use the 3 point all that much. Seems like they would be far more easier to adjust but I've heard others having issues of them hitting the tires. Although I have spacers so it may not be much of a problem anyways.

installed hydraulic ssqa. if your changing implements on the front loader a lot like i do its a huge time and effort saver. not cheap but it gives me a lot of time and energy back from switching forks to bale spear to bucket all day long.

I saw a YouTube video where a guy used a linear actuator to do the same thing for about $150. That was on a B or small L series though. Just pushing a button and having it cycle for a machine your size must save a lot of time versus constantly crawling in and out of the cab.

I used a linear actuator on mine. Fairly simple to do, but with a 20 second stroke time it doesn't really save time. It does eliminate jumping in and out of the cab. It's a nice touch.

Just an FYI. They do rub the R4 tires if you give them too much slack. Not a lot room but I like them better than the turn buckel style.
