I was awakened by our daughter around midnight dad the power has been off for a half hour. We had winds around 45 MPH all night with 30% and rain and snow. I got up and dressed for the weather and walked to the pole building and started the tractor. Loaded the generator and headed to the house. After a few minuets I had the heat on in the house and the pump house. Told her to go to bed and flipped on a light switch so I knew when the power came back on and went to bed. 10 minuets later the power came back on. Got up and connected the house heat back to main power and turned off the gen. Got back in bed and of corse the power went off again. It flickered several times and out. I thought I will wait about half hour and if it's still off I will restart the gen. Just as I was getting up it came back on and is still on.
Long story short, I have every thing to permanently hook the Gen. up this spring so I don't have to be going out at 12am to have heat over winter.
I just took the generator to the barn 2 days ago!!!

Me too. This was Monday - almost 2 feet of snow still on the ground

It got so warm here the last couple days...there's a foot of water in my backyard! luckily my drainage under it is flowing good, there's just so much run off! I should have used a 6 inch pipe when put it in a few years ago..BY HAND.

I stopped by the local Kubota dealer this afternoon to pick up the rear wiper and defrost kit for the M6060 that I ordered a few weeks ago. I opened the boxes to make sure nothing was missing or broken. There are a lot of parts in the kit including three pieces of glass, a new higher amperage alternator, alternator belt and mounting bracket, glass seals, wiper motor, wiper and blade, reservoir tubing, wiper switch, defrost switch and a few wiring harnesses. Seems like a lot of parts for the money.
I noticed the lights changing brightness a few weeks ago when pulling my neighbor's vehicles out of the ditch. I had front and rear work lights on as well as the regular lights, and when I reduced the rpm the output from the lights was reduced. The standard alternator was having a hard time keeping up with the demand. Perhaps this new alternator will be better in that regard.
The dog didn't come with the kit.

Contemplating buying a new Kubota SSV 75 and went to the local dealer today to demo a new one that just came in. Very impressive machine. Wondering about reach to lift a mini bag of oats out of the back of a truck lengthwise as opposed to reaching from the side. Any owners have any experience with this?

Looks like that is a city tractor…does it have ground effects and bounce like a low rider? (Like to see how that works with a center pivot axle…probably need a ball cap with a flat bill to understand it)

I use to drive for the company that built the woodsboss tractors from a New holland Ts6.120. They would come with steel wheels on them. Made a hell of a racket driving them across the lot. Not to mention the pucker factor pulling them onto a steel tilt deck trailer! All joking aside, what the heck is that thing?I must have been lied to. The salesman said it was for farmers that needed the HP but suffered from acrophobia.
Probably just for transport. See the multiple holes in wheel and only using 3 lugs…
Really wish I could find a picture of the Ts6.120’s with steel wheels, it’d all make sense. I’d pack 3 of them on a 48’ tilt deck.
OK ... I see what you're talking about. This is my MX before it was assembled. I don't know the process to get it all put together, but I've never seen anything like the photo that @Moose7060 posted.
Notice the damage to the cap on the cap. A new cap had to be ordered which delayed delivery by a few weeks.

Moots is correct. Just for transport. M5's and up apparently are fitted with temp wheels and are driven on for transport. Smaller units are packaged like you show in your pics with wheels off. Looked funny though so had to post a pic.
