Blew some heavy, wet snow. First time with the LX3310 on the blower. Previous use was on my LX2610. The extra pto hp was quite noticeable and the R14's had great traction in the snow.

It's snowing quite a bit here this morning. I just plugged in the block heater and have that excitement that comes from knowing I'll be moving snow sometime this morning. :D

Not today, but a few days ago unloaded bundles of R27 mineral wool insulation for our Barndo project. Big, heavy and awkward, but the tractor made the job easy.

Just spent 30 minutes or so moving snow and it's still snowing. I'll probably need to go back out this evening, or tomorrow morning for sure.

🤤. That is a nice set up…literally drooling. 🥃
Thanks. I'm very pleased with the MX and the hydraulic angle snow blade and blower. I don't see myself changing this set up if I stay at this place. It's perfect for what I need to do here.

I love to plow my snow. retirement lets me do it when I want, not before or after work. Looks like we have some coming to central NY. My drive is only maybe 350 ft plus some around the shop. I do it all with my 1950 8N with a power angle plow I have on the front. No cab! Use the Kubota loader bucket only if I need to move it back. I have used a back blade early on it to keep from pushing the stones off before the ground is froze.

Brought some firewood in. First year using these cages and I love them. Wish I could find more for the price I want to pay for them.

I just bought 16 of them for $15 a piece. I was waiting a long time for a deal like that to come around, and when it finally did I jumped right on it. My dad was down there with the trailer just a couple days after the listing.
They were in Grand Rapids, if I recall correctly. I've seen a lot in PA for pretty cheap.

I’d jump on that deal, too! I missed out on two different postings this year for $25 a piece. Most people around here (New York) are asking $75, with many asking even more, and a few asking “only” $50 (which seem to sell quickly).

When I took this picture Ben is pulling the stem out and pulling a pair of innerducts through the bore hole.

Really just a practice run snow blowing. Had 4-5” on the ground

Been ready for several weeks, but haven’t needed to blow snow yet. Been using this set up for 10 seasons now.

Wanted to make sure all was in good order. Driveway was also new crusher run this spring.

Saying 8-14” coming.

All worked fine. Will revisit at 0500 before work.

I put up 80 drive markers so the wife can see the drive in the snow. Guaranteed a snowless winter but I did get some exercise. A bit easier to reverse than a front mount snow blower
80 markers, wow, I will probably put up about 20 and that is more than norma, lol

I finally got to test my semi-homemade snowplow today.
13” of VERY WET heavy snow so far and still coming down.

I had a 48” plow blade from a Craftsman 26 hp RLM I got 15 years ago, been sitting around just waiting for a project. I bought a receiver tube and welded it into the cannel on the plow mount, bolted a step bumper receiver to the bucket. Also cut a 48” length of tubing as a skid for the gravel driveway.

I was worried that the weight of the plow and force of pushing snow might bend the bucket, but after using twice now I see no deviation…yet. Something I’ll keep an eye on.

Not sure what kind of plastic the skid pipe it is but it’s works great. If it breaks, I have an old pile of them out back. Bolting a receiver to the bucket allows me to just pull the pin, take off the plow and use the bucket when the snow piles need to be moved around.

Haven’t put my tire chains on yet but the turf tires did really well without them, spun a bit when the snow got really piled up on the bucket, but I just took smaller bites for now.

Got ~18" of heavy wet snow here in NH the past 36hrs or so.

Two rounds of using the B2601 with the blower and back blade.....today was messy, add in some downed trees and power outage and the chainsaw and whole house Kohler genny are all earning their keep today.

People wonder why I have all the "equipment" I do.......today is the "use case" for all of them. Generator purring, Kubota earned its keep, Honda tracked blower got some work in and the chainsaws freed up the mailbox and cleaned up a few downed limbs for now.

Thats awesome, sounds like a weeks' worth of work and more to do. Can never have too many "toys" when they're the right ones for the need.

Picked up some logs from a buddy doing a tree job near me. Will get them cut and split in a few weeks.

Got over 14" of heavy snow. Also had power outage and a bunch of downed limbs to take care of. Went to start the tractor and all I had was a click. Was on a tender, but stuff happens. Jump it and got the first round done. Afterwards I removed the connections and cleaned the terminals and ground on the frame. Did the cleanup and some paths to give it a good workout. Put it away with a charger on it vs the tender. I'll check it tomorrow.
