Yesterday I went to pick up an order at Home Depot, and while pulling out, the truck slid and fishtailed all over the place, barely got it out of its parking spot.

So today, I spread a bunch of gravel in that area, hopefully give it a bit of a more solid base to avoid the mud. Some road maintenance, too. Filled a hole that's been growing and getting steadily more muddy, and dug a small drainage ditch to drain a spot that's turning into a swamp.

I was going to move some 60" long logs (firewood), but the tractor wouldn't start. The battery was to weak to turn it over fast enough to light up. Had to take the battery out of the tractor to charge, I don't have any outlet where the tractor is parked. Guess it is time for a new battery. I have had the tractor since Dec 2014, so I don't think that is too bad. By the time I got the battery back in and the tractor started it was to late to o anything.
I sometimes have the same problem as your tractor; once in a while it takes me so long to get started, by the time I’m up to working speed it’s quitting time.

Since it didn't snow today I got around to greasing the tractor. In October I purchased a zerk cap kit from Amazon:

I wasn't sure they would stay on but so far not one has fallen off. So far I have used only the blue ones. The open circle I suppose is to go around the zerk itself before you push on the cap. I leave them hanging out as a nice handle to facilitate taking them off before greasing.

It certainly eliminates the issue of dirt getting into the zerk and then pushing it into the joint when you grease.

Where did you seem to get those I think that's a great idea

Walked down to see what UPS left and found it was for me and that the drive is almost drifted shut. Snow just starting here so I may wait a few more hours before I go dig out. Wind is a steady 10 with gusts well in to the 20’s. No winning that battle.

wired Up my rops lights to key on power, also finished up installing the wire loom and I finally got black zip ties so I swapped out the white ones. supposed be a lot of snow this week so I thawed the little beast out since she had to sit outside for a few days. My wood stove wont heat the garage very well because I haven’t finished renovating the ceiling so only the walls are insulated. This little 40,000 btu Colman propane heater is amazing. When my atv gets wet in the winter. I will tarp it in the garage and blast this heater under it till it’s dry.

I got the QH on and installed the spinner on steering wheel, oh yeah and put 3/4” rubber mat on rear blade for scraping concrete driveway.
I like your spinner! Got a question. How did you decide its placement? I was thinking of putting one on the same side but a little higher. But I have not used one!

Anyone else with spinner placement advice? Or brand. From its looks, it appears to be a Polar Snow Products, sold by Amazon and I am sure others.

I’m not sure of the brand but is exactly the same as the Kubota brand except for color and works great! As for the
placement of it.. really doesn’t matter, it will never be in the same place you put it because of the hydraulic steering system we have. I put it in that location because it is comfortable for me, not there now.. no matter where it’s at.. still easier to steer with it!

Went to work back out at the farm today. Installed my new wheel spinner knob that my wife got me for Christmas

View attachment 52739

Then went to work moving brush and trying to get access to the old John Deer 12A combine.

We made a big stack of brush and still not cleared everything we need to for access to the 12a.

Finished off the day with installing warning lights on the back of the tractor. They are just temp mounted with suction cups. Trying to decide how to permanently mount the lights to hopefully keep me from getting runover when we go to the north 40.

I like that Kubota spinner! I want to try a spinner on my tractor. Why did you put yours at about 10 o'clock? I see some there and some at 7 o'clock.

Putting mine on the left side makes sense because I'll probably use it when using a blade on the front. Steer with my left hand and keep the right hand on the joystick.

As OrangeCrush said, if your tractor has hydrostatic steering, your knob's position is not going to stay the same. Watch a spoke on your steering wheel for a while.

Plowed snow again after work. Sure nice to have a cab, lights, heat and a wiper. One of my elderly neighbors gives me this as I'm clearing their driveway.

AS others have pointed out, it didn't start there. It has a mind of its own. Yet, I was surprised how much I like it.

We got a good 8-10” with drifts up to 3’ last night. 2 hrs and I made it to the shared portion of the drive. Neighbor had it plowed so only some minor cleanup and widening. I probably have at least 1.5hrs of seat time to finish opening it all the way. More due on Thursday so I need to push piles back to make room. Really miss my old snowblower today. Oh well, there is another cigar in my future!

Had 8-10” yesterday and last night with 20 mph winds. Driveway had 2-3’ drifts so I got the tractor out at 5am and cleared the driveway before I went to work this morning. Wife was taking video from the comfort of the house. Finished cleaning up a few spots when I got home.

We had around 8-10" of snow, ice pellets and then freezing rain. Weird textured snow to blow, almost like sugar.
