Of course I couldn't get to assembly instructions until I removed the metal shipping crate, all the loose pieces and the mountain of plastic wrap and cardboard. That's when I saw I had to mount the chipper on the 3 point to remove the metal shipping base (soon to become chipper dolly). Of course its 90 degs off.
Not a lot of room in the basement garage Managed to use the forks to spin it 'almost' square. Then realized the post hole digger had to come off. Time to see if the PHD holder I erected in the back will work.

Finished the assembly today I am getting old though. Everything seemed heavy
Didn't have to cut the pto shaft. iirc my last WC68 was the same, shaft good the way it came.
Filled it will hydraulic fluid, started it up to let the air get purged and then topped it off. It really took 5 gallons to fill it but couldn't take another pint.
Some final assembly pics. Too bad its been raining. I won't be able to take it out for several days - until the lawn dries out.

Removed the blower and K connect and put the loader back on. Now, if the rain would stop long enough for the ground to dry up I could get some work done.

I was astonished that run time on the meter was only 22 hours since last oil change of 4/1/2023, so just a year. I'll change it in the fall.

Discovered a small fire on my place.
Wind gusts up to 40mph today, almost 150ft away and the neighbor started fires yesterday.

I can't stress this enough, it's always good to call or text your neighbors if you plan on burning.

Unfortunately I have 75yr old neighbor and I guess he doesn't give a phuck. Well he got an ass chewing(in a nice way) from me today. Back in January, I verbally told him to let me know when he burns. A week or two later, he starts burning again, and I politely sent him a text. Pretty sure get got mad at me cause we haven't talked till today.
I told him, if it was one of my renter's that discovered the fire, the fire department would have been called. Then he goes on to tell me that I could have called him instead of the FD, and then I said, you didn't alert me that you were burning.... no fire department wasn't called today, but if this scenario happens again, I can guarantee we will probably not talk again, cause I would consider pressing charges against the crusty old man.

Drove the SVL75 back there to scape the brush away and covered the embers with some soil. I wouldn't be surprised if another lites off this evening. On the way back, I decided to clean out my sand trap and put the soil back on the road.

You are 100% right. Neighbors have an obligation to notify other neighbors of burning. Your neighbors will be the 1st to know & 1st to be affected by the burning. IMO, it’s common sense & how it is done in my neighborhood.

You are 100% right. Neighbors have an obligation to notify other neighbors of burning. Your neighbors will be the 1st to know & 1st to be affected by the burning. IMO, it’s common sense & how it is done in my neighborhood.

I knew something was odd, but because of the winds, his footprints were already gone. I could see the disturbed soil in this small spot. The SOB should have notified me yesterday! It seems to me some have a “mind your own business” attitude that extends way too far. I’m a live and let live kinda guy. But c’mon. Be neighborly and warn someone when you may be lighting their place on fire, right?!?
