Well there was 2 elm trees growing besides the little garage, not real big maybe 6 or 8 inches across. Block and tackle and the little BX tied to it, pull, dig cut, pull, dig chop, pull, dig chop and out they came most of the roots and all. Now I just have to get a tri axel in with dirt to fill the freekin holes

Picked up a new battery for the tractor yesterday but got home after 7 last night an decided to do it this morning and put a battery tender on it to make sure it was fully charger. Looks like I will be getting another battery today. Put the battery in the tractor and it would only crank the engine if I used the compression release. Add the 200+ amps from the starter charger and the tractor starts. Leave charger attached to the battery and set on 10 amps for an hour. Try to start no go! Meter says that there is only 10.2 volts coming from the battery, use tho other meters and get the same results.

Hey, I finaly have something to post to this thread. As a Kubota novice, I finally took the backhoe off my B3300su. It went pretty easily, hopefully the reinstall will do as well. I've had the tractor since the first of the year, and besides moving some dirt and snow, I've only been practicing my backhoe operating. I took it off because I found a new implement, an old back blade that had been in a friends backyard for over a decade. Its in surprisingly good shape and very sturdy. We've been lubricating the pivot for a couple weeks and its moving a bit. When the rain stops, I'll carefully back it into a tree to get the blade to turn 360 degrees. Then we'll put a grease zerk in to keep it smooth. Weld a couple bushings into the top link, sandblast and paint and I'll have my first extra implement for almost no charge. A good day.

crickwaker, I'd suggest you use the blade as it is for a while. The use will help free up the rusted part. If you use your tractor to pressure it against something solid (like a tree) you may very bend the blade. Then you have a mess!!

Use a liberal dose of something (50/50 ATF and acetone) to break down the rust (not WD-40) before and as you use the blade. It will free up.

Thanks D2, we've had it in my buddy's auto shop for 2-3 weeks lubing the heck out of it with the best penetrating fluid he's got. Its spinning almost 90 degrees each way now and the plan is to use for a while and loosen it all up before doing anything else.

Put together my Harbor Freight garden tractor lift only to find that the jack is missing the spring and ball valves and I have to drive seventy miles to return it and assemble another one! Then found I don't have a socket to fit the blade bolts on my G5200 48" deck. Gotta go to town and hope I find a socket to fit them.

I pulled the deck off the BX and sharpened the blades, greased her all up and changed the fuel filter,,, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ,, I got some nasty fuel, it was sputtering and no power. and when I pulled the filter off it smelled like GASOLINE and had all kinds of nasty crap in the filter, drained the tank and dayum it smelled like gas and NO I got the fuel same place I always do, off road runs about 50 cents a gallon cheaper than on road. New filter new fuel and off we went good as new

Gave it a bath and a little once over prior to connecting mower. Grass on back half hasnt seen a mower yet this year. Should be a workout.

Moved a bunch of scrap decking to a burn pile with my homemade forks.
Used scrap C channel purlin. Cut one side of one off, "wrapped" it around another forming oblong tubing and ran a bead with my MIG welder. Light weight and strong.
Moved a bunch of 54" long oak trunks, no problem.

Got 3-4 acres mowed, without a hiccup,this little machine is a workhorse. Best purchase i ever made.

it has been a three month project.........6 feet off the ground on the rear end, 19 4x4's and 2x8 on 12 centers with solid blocking every 4 feet.....ought to hold the ol girl up a while!

We did some mowing.

Few weeks ago, neighbor's wife wanted to pay me to mow their place. They are not the "best" neighbors, I'll leave it at that. Unfortunately, husband had a heart attack.

I said I'd be glad to help, no charge. As a former farmboy, that's what neighbors do.....over 25 years, I've done every lawn and/or driveway in my little neighborhood one time or another. No other neighbor can say that.

First trip, they were astounded at how quick the BX would mow their place - about 45 minutes versus the 3 hours it takes him with his WalMart tractor.

Couple weeks later, he tried to mow some. I went to finish it for him while he watched. He really looked the tractor over after I finished. He said "that's quite a machine."
