Does the left ear up and right ear down indicate lift bucket and curl to dump?Working on training my little lady to run the FLE
Leveled hill to put a trampoline on and filled it up, so it’s almost ground level on the uphill side. Would have never have happened had I had to dig it by hand.
I noticed my brush hog had slid partway off it's pallet. I had the forks on the 3pt so I picked it up and put it right. Then while hooking up my finish mower I found the attached point of the top link was stuck. Took that off and chucked it in a vise and had to use a spud wrench to unscrew it and found a lot of flattened threads. Instead of running to TSC I got my triangle file out and chased them on both sides, shot some grease in the tube and it's perfect. Greased the other end as well and it was off the races. Mowed fine, but one thing I noticed when greasing the mower is there is no zerk on the u-joint at the gearbox . . . hmmm. It's a MF 60" mower my nephew gave me, but it works fine and cuts well so I can't complain.

While digging out the new burn pit and moving boulders for the outer edge, blew the Hyd. to the BH bucket. Got it home and apart and line pulled, replaced and cleaned up the mess! I guess tomorrow is another day!
Drove the rear wheels of my BX onto my old truck ramps and put 6" blocks under the front wheels so I could get under it to change the trans/hydraulic oil. Drained it, pulled and cleaned the inlet screen, was just a little non-magnetic crud on it, and changed the filter. The filter wasn't on all that tight, I was able to loosen it by hand, but it wasn't leaking. The HST fan was intact with all the blades present.
The dealer I bought it from said a full service was done when I bought it, but the oil was pretty dark for only having ~100 hours on it. It didn't have any odd smell to it though. By using a funnel and a piece of 5/8" heater hose I was able to get the 2 1/2 gallons plus a quart of UDT2 into it without spilling a drop.
25 hours until the engine oil is due for change.

Spent a couple hours each day the past 5 days helping my newest neighbor.
The new neighbor bought the place a couple months ago and has been steady with cleaning up what the previous owner left behind and trying to get up to code.

Finally finished the bulk of the work in replacing the dead junipers along the driveway bank - about 60 feet worth. Ended up using a couple of different varieties of Spirea on the top row and Leucothe staggered in a row below. Now I just need to do is rake it out fairly smooth and remove the dead roots still sticking up, bring in more mulch and finally edge everything.
When I finished I washed the tractor and greased it.

B7100 hst, 2650 front mount snowblower, L2501 hst qa loader
I started prepping the B7100 for duty down at the land today. Took off the front mount snowblower and back blade.
I cleaned out a very packed full and stinky mouse nest in the tool box. I guess I can be happy the nest was not behind the dash!
I got a coat of wax on the sheet metal and while doing so I could give the tractor a good overall look. Its a lot easier for me to deal with problems here in my garage versus down at the land.
In my opinion the tractor still looks pretty good for going on a quarter of a century! Still has 95% of the original paint. I think 100% of the original stickers although some are really starting to show age. Seat is a replacement. Hood has battle scars and like most every other B7100 has at least one busted headlight and missing the badge on the radiator screen.
Even with the L2501 being a very capable machine I find the B7100 the perfect size for certain jobs. Trail debris clearing with a landscape rake. Getting into tight spots with a 4 foot brush cutter. Sips fuel and operates like it should.

Deceptive editing by omission! lol. Its far from spotless. I do hope to get after it this spring yet and gets things cleaned and arranged.
