Took my 300 gallon overhead fuel tank off of it's stand and cleaned it. (Hasn't been used in about 20 years.) I was amazed that after cleaning it looks new inside. No rust nor pitting. My dad used this tank in the late 40's to store green colored distilate fuel for his old Farmalls. After that we stored refund gasoline, then later on for diesel. I use about 400 gallons a year, but have been going to the bulk plant and picking up a couple of barrels full at a time.
Red diesel is $1.29 a gallon here now, so I thought I might as well stock up.
By the way, I'm still amazed at how much I use my pallet forks.
