?? So those bolts/nuts aren't gonna cause a problem?
No, I don't think so. I've had a couple of pieces of equipment with cutting edges bolted on this way and never had a problem. I am going to take off the lock washers, cut off the exposed threads and tack weld the nuts fast.
The bolts are flush with the bottom of the cutting edge.

Thanks about the Nylock nuts.

Grade 8 lock nuts sorta squish the threads. Don't know how they would work with less hard bolts. ??

Plow bolts (or Plow share Bolts) are most commonly grade 8 bolts. ;)

I grooved my R4 tires last night and played on the ice this morning testing them out. I am happy with the mod. It didn't take too long and makes a noticeable difference.

This is fantastic, I saw another guy do this on YouTube and really thought it was a great idea.. here are the tires I’m using on my sub compact tractor (Kubota BX)

I really love these tires and think they are one of the best tires around for compact/sub compact tractors (Carlisle WT300)

It was yesterday, but performed the 50-hour maintenance on my L2501 HST. Though it doesn***8217;t require it at 50 hours I changed the transmission fluid with SUDT-2. Per directions I did not operate the tractor immediately after changing the fluid and once I did start it I let it idle for a bit and then drove it with no load for a while. Like a few others have stated on this forum the engine whine seems considerable quieter now.
I did notice the FEL seemed to be a bit sluggish but over an hour or so it quickened up. I assume air in the system causes this sluggishness until it works itself out.

Did a couple of electrical upgrades on my BX today, Since I was replacing my battery, I decided to add a battery charging port and a volt meter/USB charging port...

I twisted one of my doors when I caught it in a round bale. Hopefully a neighbour of mine can straighten it. Never liked rearward opening doors for this reason. On the plus side, at least I didn't break the glass

Installed a 120A anderson plug on the back of the BX.
Also mounted a 120A breaker at the battery to protect from a short

Also made a crane that will lift 6.5m.
Im building a new guest house and the main beams are 6m high.
Needed the crane as I did not have enough lift for the weight with the bucket mounted gin pole or enough reach with the backhoe.

To make the crane I used a 3pl hitch, welded mount for the pole and ATV winch to that. Mount is 65x65x6 SHS and the pole is 50x50x5 SHS.

Ill take some pics and post them tomorrow

Some Pics of the crane. Sorry I did not take a pick with the pole installed.
Hoisted some test loads today, all worked really well.
Above 200kg or so I lowered the hitch onto jack stands to take the weight off the 3pl. Lifted a UB360 weighting about 400kg which it lifted easily without issues.
The cables on the bar in the pic attach to the shackle points on my bucket to allow me to tilt the bar a bit.

Now to get the last beams in place on the guest house and put the beams onto the shed for the mezzanine. Hence test lifting the UB360 I beam
