The new seat and suspension system is so much nicer than the seat on my L2501.

I installed a horn I took from a tiny Toyota and then installed a decompression cable on mine today. Was going to do a little grading on the drive but got tired

lol! I clicked on “New Posts” and somehow ended up there. I’m not familiar w/forums. But my question stands.
Older tractors would have a valve (connected via a cable from the dash) that would be pulled so that the motor would spin freely (without compressing the gasses to ignite), once the engine had enough speed (momentum) you release the decompression lever to close the valve so the next rotation, the engine would fire off the compressed gases...
Also, if you return to a thread that did not have any "new" posts, you will default to the first post of the thread. In which (in this case) is the thread you replied too!! Not a problem at all... good to see some of the old threads
Well, after the Paypal fiasco with BXpanded, I should’ve followed my gut.
But I got the Quick Connect Backhoe Bucket connector ordered, and it arrived in good time. This morning, I started what I figured would be maybe a 1 hour job to get it mounted. 8 hours later, it’s still not working as advertised. Many contact points had to be ground off, on the connector, on the BH77 backhoe dipper arm and on the mechanical thumb (OEM). I’ve gotta say, if I knew then what I know now, I would not have ordered this thing.

I’ve gotta say, if I knew then what I know now, I would not have ordered this thing.
I got the Schafer disc harrow connected to the MX this evening and pulled closer to the garage in preparation for some upgrades. I have a little over 3 acres to disc up this weekend so need to weld up a drawbar for the M6060 with a pintle hitch compatible plate on the end. I picked up some 3"x3"x3/8" tubing this afternoon to weld into the disc frame to support four or six additional coulters.
The young chap cutting the steel messed up one of the 24" pieces (cut it at 23") so he gave it to me at no charge and cut me another stick at the correct length. No doubt I'll find a use for the extra piece.
I also picked up a piece of 8"x5/8" flatbar that I had the steel supplier cut to a length of 14". I drilled three sets of holes in it. The top four holes are for 16mm bolts that will pass through the front weight bracket, the spacer plate and brush guard, and thread into the frame on the front of the tractor. I'll weld the plate to the front of the brush guard tomorrow. The bottom larger bolts will be used to bolt the front weight bracket to the brush guard so that they're a single unit which will make it much easier to bolt the entire thing to the tractor. The 5/8" plate acts as a spacer to provide clearance for the suitcase weights. Without the plate spacer there's no way to get the weights on due to interference between them and the brush guard. Thanks to @Russell King who suggested I do this almost two years ago!

Finished the job on Day 5 yesterday. Long day spreading 5 triaxles of topsoil. Rolled out of there at 8:30 pm after seed/fert/straw and rolling the new "lawn".

I did a little mowing. Lawn could be a challenge with 5 days of rain coming.
Just hosed the tractor off afterwards. Thing has gotten pretty dusty/dirty.
Of course, Geddy had to “help.”
