I understand the functional benefits of tinting the glass, but I just don't like the look.
Sometimes I think I like it more for the look than the function.

But I'm from the era, where as teenagers, we "murdered out" as the brothas say, every single piece of glass we possibly could.

And to this day, any and every vehicle I aquire MUST be tinted IMMEDIATELY. Its like an article of clothing to me or something.

Can't drive down the road without tint no more than I can't leave the house without a shirt on lol.

Seems like you may need a 2nd tractor!
Yup, have one. Most of the time it has the box on the back. It kinda became my "mule", hauling tools and fuel / spare batteries and other stuff. For a while I had 3 tractors. A year after buying the L4240, Wifey reminded me I promised to sell the L3200. It was fun while it lasted, but it's tough to convince the better half that we really need three tractors for 3-1/2 acres:)

I went with 5% on the sides and back, then 20% on the windshield and front lower quarters.

I cut all summer in the 110+ mississippi heat and man does it make a world of difference.

Also makes her look good to.....even with a dented hood lol.

I also have 3 tractors,....... on only 12 acres.
Swapping attachments is rarely an issue for me.

For sure. It actually sank twice. Once right when it happened, and then again that next morning after waking up and remembering what I had done.....TO MY BRAND FRICKIN NEW TRACTOR!!! lol.
I wouldn't been able to sleep haha

At least it was just cosmetic damage though!

I know you have ktac but the last time I was at the dealership, they had two hoods from a couple tractor models in the showroom and they were shipping damage. One had a small dent, like a pebble size dent and that was it. The other had had some scratches that messed up the lettering on the side of the hood. They were less than half of the cost of a new hood! For anyone whos reading...always a good idea to check in with the dealers because sometimes they have scratch and dent parts available that are still perfectly fine at a good discount.

I was taking a walk outdoors today around my house, it's pretty chilly today around 35f but at least it's sunny. The ground is quite soft again, it was drying up nice until we got that foot of snow.....

Anyways I was looking at my retaining wall next to my house I put in back around 2017 or so and its leaning quite a bit. Surprised it's still doing its job. However, its gonna need to be addressed. So that's going to be a fun project, I'm glad I got some wood pallets I can use to store the blocks on and a tractor to move them!

I tried to do it cheap years ago..it did last a while but I need to do it better time by adding proper drainage behind the retaining wall and add a layer of drainage stone. All the water runs down behind the wall and when it really rains hard, for a couple days after you can see water come out of the seams in the wall.

I made the wall too high for the blocks I have, so I'm going to lower it down one tier which should help some. I didn't have a tractor then so being able to move the material around should make it a lot easier!

Sounds like the perfect excuse to get a backhoe! ;)

We were fortunate, the severe storms went eat of us. We got a little rain, much cooler today. Although they have put out alerts that we are in for severe weather Tuesday night and Wednesday and will receive 5+ inches of rain through Saturday.

Mowed frickin' grass. I'd rather take a beating than mow frickin' grass.
I’d rather mow grass than move snow ❄….

I really try not to complain about mowing, because I like the alternative much less….😉

Thank you. The past couple of summers have been brutal and while mowing the ac can't keep up while mowing. I'm hoping tint will help with that.

Mowing grass is a piece of cake. I can sit on the porch with a cold drink and watch my wife all day!

Yeah, but that is our weather in the St. Louis area. We have tornado watches, thunderstorm watches, and wind advisory today. Then we get rain through Saturday. So, as much as I would like to go out and start going over the dump trailer, it will have to wait. This weekend looks like it will be a little to wet for any outdoor projects. Although I will gladly take the 6 inches over three or four days compared back to 2022 when we had 11 inches in 24 hours. We had water everywhere.
