I’m all about supporting made in the USA, and especially smaller operations, but it has to make sense for the consumer as well. If it were anywhere near an equivalent price, I’d have no problem spending more. Triple is a bit of a reach.
I certainly understand this.
One of my duties at work was to move & set in location with extreme accuracy, 4' and 5' granite cubes, while grouting them with epoxy to a thick, isolated concrete slab.
These were the bases for various test beds for extremely accurate fiber gyros.
I bought a set of 6 cheap pry bars ranging from 10" to 38". (don't remember where, but it was pre-harbor freight)
I think I spent about $30.
Used them for years to "walk" the blocks around to position them, and finally broke the big one.
Had a friend who was a snap-on dealer. and he offered me the "family price" of $345.

I explained I didn't need the whole set, just the large one, and he told me that was just the large one.
I declined, went to HF and bought another set of cheapies for about $40.
I still use them today.
Is the snap-on better quality?
Undoubtably.
But $345 for one vs $40 for a set of 6?
Pretty hard to justify on a working man's budget.
