considering the options. . . getting old isn't so bad (just 76 a couple of weeks ago)

I rode until I sold my last bike 2 years ago. I was really into long distance riding. I realized I just wasn't up for 1000 mile days anymore.
I just "discovered" the Trans-America Trail on YouTube last week. Most consider 200 mile days about right. Gravel and dirt roads at generally lower speeds. Youtube ; Black bear pass Transamerica Trail. Pretty amazing riding available to suite all skill levels. Also check out ; ADV Rider forum. I love to ride.

I always laugh when I read, it beats the alternative. I wish someone would come back just once, and tell the world just what the alternative really is. For many folks I have seen parked in old folks homes, waiting out their days to finally die, not having a clue who they are, where they are, and just existing, I kinda got a feeling the alternative, when one reaches that stage, won,t be so bad. A lot of folks are already living their hell on earth, any chance the alternative could actually be any worse, for those folks ?

It seemed every decade my cold weather mark rose higher and higher as the joints started to freeze up and coming off the pegs became a problem in cold weather. Riding since 13 and I do miss it. Looking at a goldwing but wife is against another bike. Too many close calls.

I have seen relatives become burdens as their bodies or brains start to fail them. After all the stupid crap I have survived I hope I have the strength and guts to end it before I get that far gone. In the mean time, look out world I have more to get done and some hell to raise.

There are very few Polaris slingshots here in Eastern Canada ($$$) and although I am sure they're fun, they're not really a bike. (at least in my mind, they're more a sports car missing a rear wheel, right?)
Three wheels yes, but with seats, steering wheel, cockpit, roll bar etc is not a bike.

A CanAm Spyder (or 10) can be seen in every city and highway around here and are super popular. EVen a few of the bare bone models called a Ryker I think are here and there. The Ryker is no good for touring (storage is nil) but they look like fun !

Someday, if it ever came to it, I'd likely either get a 3wheeler bike like a Harley Freewheeler or a kit for my Road King to add 2 rear wheels, but it's all the same breeze.

Cheers guys !

I sold my last bike, a Harley, a few years ago. Enjoyed riding for decades, but never long distances. Seldom rode more than a 100 miles.

I covered short distances real quick….;)

Missed it at first, but there’s too many idiots and too many people with their faces stuck in a cell phone….

Roads aren’t the same as they were 40 years ago, and neither am I.;)

The culvert pipes are being replaced in the road past my house, they have been pi$$ing around with this for 6 months and still have much more to do. A guy on a large Harley way following my SIL and he saw the Harley lose it on one of those deep cuts that wasn't filled. The last I heard is that he may be paralyzed. It ain't just the phone zombies, idiots are everywhere.

True.

First day owning a new Yamaha Fazer in the ‘80’s tractor trailer ran me off road when passing on a double yellow. I was stuck on narrow shoulder at 60 mph with truck 4 feet to my left.

Blew past him, and gave him the one-finger salute. Bike had 50 miles on it.

….idiot….. still think of that every time I see one of that company’s rigs…..
