Well foot I figure you about 70f warmer than we are its 10 out there now. It was -9 out on the porch this morning and thank gawd no wind to speak of and only about 4 inches of snow

I lived in Greene for about 30 years, grew up in Bainbridge, also lived in the Triple Cities for a few years. I remember the 2 seasons as Winter, and Construction.

Big change living in this Washington desert. First 2 years, "winter" amounted to a brief near zero period sometime during the season,and one 12"-18" snow, with a few very light snows after that. So far this year, we've had some below zero temps, but only about 1/2"-1" of snow. I think it has been colder overall this winter, but drier. We really need snow and rain, especially in the mountains to build up snowpack to melt and feed the rivers for the rest of the year.

I don't miss the snow, cold, and taxes of NY at all!

And get ready for some large increase in food prices. San Juaqen (spelling) valley in Ca in a drought and Fl in a freeze. Told my wife to start buying anything with long shelf life.

I'm a 23-year transplant to Oxford. Biggest place I've ever lived - came from suburban-Truxton, NY near Labrador Mtn. Love it here - except for winter (364 days), and taxes. Joking, of course.

Greene and BB are great places - had supper at The Silo few weeks ago. From what I hear, Raymond is going great guns lately. The Regatta in BB still brings folks from around the world to canoe the Susquehanna.

If you need to reminisce, I will send you my property tax bills and the -20 temps we had yesterday morning!

Taxes are due by 1/31, so be quick about it.

I remember going to the very first Regatta, back when it was held down by the village barn, next to the bridge. I found a $20 bill on the ground! One of my classmate's father was one of the founders. It's come a long way since then.

Worked for Raymond for about 15 years, when it really was Raymond, not Toyota. Gave me a good background that I took to Universal Instruments for another 15 years.

Does Ken Ryan still own the Hardware store in Oxford? I knew him from Raymond, but went to high school with his brother Pat.

Not to make you feel bad, but my current property taxes (less than $1000), school included, are less than either the property or school tax alone when I was in Greene, and no state income tax.

Does the Silo still offer Ostrich? I tried it a couple times, a lot like filet Mignon, but less cholesterol.

Currently experiencing an extended period of "air stagnation" here. Been about 2 weeks with no wind. Temps stuck at about 30F. We have "freezing fog", which is coating everything with ice. Supposed to break about Tuesday. Still beats 20 below.
