I'll send you a link in a PM for some at a fairly reasonable price if you want to try them.

Len,

Best I can "figger," that is a Internet "fishing" scam. They intentionally list one item at a very high price hoping someone, anyone, will click on it.

I have seen it a lot on Amazon. You are looking for an item and the going price is $30, +/- $5. Then, you run across the very same item with a super-detailed narrative for $70. It's the exact same item for twice as much. Some items are three or four times as much.

It doesn't cost anything to list these items so I guess if they throw something out at a high price and someone doesn't shop around, they'll actually move it at a huge profit. I guess some people truly believe the higher the price, the higher the quality.

:)

I sent the seller a question asking if the sale was for one rod. They responded "YES".

What got me interested is I've been helping my nephew with a fencing project. After we got the post in and the top rail on I told him I was going to be the set up man and he weld. Last Saturday we worked all day on the rails and I took several rods so he could try them. I had 6010+, 6011, 7018, and some of this X-Ergon #106. I have 2ea full 15# bags of it. Bought it at a pawn shop a few years back. I had another bag with 5-6# of rod and he started using that. He liked them and uses them all day.

I think if they're so valuable, I'll trade them for a tractor!!
