Greetings folks...

My B2620 has a Kubota weight box on the 3-point at all times (unless I remove it to use the box scraper or tiller). So, I have noticed that over 4-5 days the 3-point hydraulics will sloooooowly bleed back until the weight box is on the ground.

I know hydraulic systems are not 100% bleed proof so is this something I should worry about and have it brought in for warranty inspection and possible repair? Or is it common?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks much...Burgie

my b2910 does that also. I'll drop the FEL and whatever is on the back when I turn off the tractor.

my father-in-law's 1969 Ford tractor with all its hydraulic leaks doesn't drop, go figure.

By the way...no oil leaks, seeping around hydraulic cylinders, staining, oil on my concrete floor...nothing. Everything looks tight and clean.

I am just chalking it up to normal hydraulics creep over time because everything works perfectly. However, I wanted to check with other users to get their opinions!!!

Honestly, I couldn't answer that question. Anything on my three point hitch gets dropped to the ground out of habit when I shut the tractor down. The only exception is if it just has a draw bar attached to it, I do the same thing on anything that has a fel also. Just a safe practice. I don't want someone near either end, and have someone bump a lever and drop it on anyone, or anything.

But if it's over several days, then I wouldn't worry about it.

To echo what everyone else said ....it is GOING to drop....over time, the time that it drops is what to pay attention to, if after 10 minutes, you got some bad seals - if over 10 days, you have no problem, typically the heavier the implement, the fast the drop over time.

Inevitable with this system:

The 2620 hydraulics are powered by an 8.3 gal/min twin pump that keeps implement needs separate from the power steering. The 3PH (three point hitch) is powerful, rated to lift 1058 lbs. 24” behind the link point, but lacks true position control. Kubota makes up for this with its Quarter Inching Valve, which is a step up from an up down only 3PH control, but makes you pay attention to the number of up/down strokes. To get an idea of how this system works, the operator pushes the Rockshaft control lever to the mid stop and the hitch lifts ¼” inch at the end of the 3PH for each stroke back to the mid lever position. The same goes for down but you push in the opposite direction."

I have been running equipment since I was about 7 years old.

In that 45 years I was always taught and believed part of the shut down procedure was to lower all hydraulic and implements to the ground and idle the machine down before shutting down. That was gas, diesel and hydrostatic equipment.

It just makes sense to me?
