My father and I just recently discovered that plastic drop in bed liners work fantastic to cover your tractor with. And best of all they are free. My dad is one of those types who doesn't throw away alot and if its free its better. So he was able to get ahold of several bed liners free from a local shop that was takeing them out of truck to install a spray in liner. The shop has a mountain of drop ins lying around back and were more then happy to part ways with them. We have like 6 or 8 floating around here. Dads L275 takes two bedliners to cover from end to end and my B6100 only needs one. By far they are the best things we have used to keep rain and snow off better then any tarp we have ever bought! Just thought I'd pass along this handy bit of information to fellow tractor owners who are less fortuniate to own a shed to put a tractor in.

What I like the most about them is a bedliner is heavy and wont blow over in the wind and really dont need rope or bunge cords to tie it down with. Oh and the other thing is they are free!

Waiting for the weather to clear up to get a decent shot. Its been raining cats and dogs here the past few days after we had like 10-15inches of snow fall last Friday.

Here I thought this thread was going to be a tip on actually doing something to make the tractor hold up to the weather better. Something like installing a rain cap on the exhaust or similar. This past weekend, we got over a foot of snow, n when I got home found this

All I did was plug it in, shoveled the hood off to make sure the cooling fan was clear. Shoveled off the seat, than started it up, let it warm up, than worked the bucket to pull the tractor out of the snow bank. It seems like it would be a pain to cover it with a plastic bed linner.

Are you saying that black pipe or post look alike stuff is your tractor's muffler?

I have bought one of those portable garage from Princess auto ($200.00) and put my car in there and keeping my DEAR WIFE's car and my DEAR KUBOTA in the garage to keep from snow~~~!:D

We have snow squal warning in our area today and my daughter went out to London Ont. about a couple hours to drive~:(

Happy new year.

Joe.

We didnt have that much snowfall here in Richmond Va. It was around 10-15 inches but I tell ya this much, it was a great feeling tossing back the bedliner and all the snow fell off the tractor in one shot, front to rear came out clean. And with that much weight from snow and ice any tarp I have ever used would rip unless you spent 30mins dusting it off.

I just thought Id share this tip that we found out works fantastic to cover up tractors. Some owners use those blue tarps or nothing at all, and this was ment to inform those people who dont have a storage shed to put a tractor in. I love my tractor dont get me wrong but if I can cover it for free compaired to spending 200 bucks, free is a number I can live with.

Looks like there may be better spots to park your tractor (judging from the
background in the image). Maybe there is a drafting effect next to that
building causing the snow to accumilate ?:)

Does your tractor have a block heater?

Well last winter that spot didn't drift in, but this time, it did big time. It does have a block heater of sorts, its a water circulation heater. I hooked it into the lower radiator hose, and the thermostat bypass hose. Its a 1500 watt heater, it'll warm that little motor up in about an hour, so it starts easy.

The only part that I'm worried about getting weathered on this tractor is the seat, the tractors where designed to be out in the elements. Could use a couple small changes to make them better, like, on mine, just today, I put a different muffler and pipe on it, with a rain cap on the top to better keep rain, and snow out of it. Other than that, I really can't think of much that would need covering besides the seat.....
