recently acquired a B7500 that sat for a few years. The three point won’t lift against any resistance. I removed the cover, replaced the piston o-ring and the two under the control valve, replaced the o-ring in the flow control, and disassembled and inspected the. Control valve. Put it back together and still no lifting power. The flow control seems to work now. The lift and lock functions work but the arms can be pushed down by hand with the lever in the lift position. Have cracked the lines to verify fluid is present and it is. Tests have been done at idle and at pto rpms with no change. Thinking it might be a weak spring in the control valve. Loader functions as it should so the pump is probably ok. The lock function holds too. Sure someone’s had this before, just don’t want to throw unneeded parts at it.

Is the feed back linkage properly connected?

When you replaced the piston o ring did you install the backup ring 68773-21560 also?

How much weight does it hold up in the locked position?

Do you know for sure that the position handle is truly turning the rod into the valve?

You may need to be more specific about the tractor model since there is hydrostatic and gear variations.

50% of the time it's the plumbing to the Loader that is hooked up wrong causing the three point to act the way you suggest.
Might want to post some photos of the FEL / Spool plumbing.

bout that so I switched the hoses between the tank and power beyond ports. The result was that the three point would lift only when the loader bucket was activated to roll up. Had to operate the spool several times to get the three point all the way up and it was still too weak to lift against moderate hand pressure. returned the hoses to their original positions and pulled the cover off the transmission and added shims under the control valve spring. Results were positive but not ideal. It now will lift against resistance but only at pto rpms, still weak at idle. I don’t currently have the means to check the input pressure from the hydraulic valve.

As far as I know the model is a B7500D and it’s not hydrostatic. Replaced the backup ring too. It holds at least three hundred pounds in the locked position. The position handle appears to work correctly in that it lifts, lowers, and locks and automatically returns itself to the locked position at full lift. As an experiment, I added some shims in the control valve and got some positive results. It now lifts against the same three hundred pound resistance but only at pto rpms, still weak at idle.

When was the last time the hydraulic fluid was replaced?--that machine is ~20yrs old.

Does the loader lift OK?

You really need to stop throwing parts at it and do some diagnostics. Based on what you have said so far the control valve is high on my list of suspects.

. Took it to the nearest hydraulic specialty shop and they confirmed the valve was both defective and missing a part.
