Bought at auction Takuchi with Kubota V3307-DI-T-E3B-TLTU1, Oil was chocolate but the machine cranked and ran fine, although I didnt run it but a minite. Other than cracked head or maybe block damage is there anywhere else to look to on this machine for the problem.? All help appreciated!

First drain everything - EVERTHING - place new oil in engine at dipstick spec and water in the radiator.

Fire up - leave cap off radiator, see bubbles or worse?

If no bubbles - allow to run for 10 minutes or more.

Check oil again - did it rise on stick? Color of oil ?

There is the possibility that the freeze plugs are popped inside the valve cover or under the gear case.
If when water is poured into the radiator it quickly pours back out the oil drain plug, that would be my guess.
If it's slow then it's more likely a cracked head or blown head gasket.
It's very very rare for it to be the block.
