I am considering ways of getting water to my garden and thought about making a saddle attachment for the 3-point to take a 220ltr plastic drum. My concern is whether or not it would take 220kg, assuming counter weights on the front. What is the weight / stress limit the mountings would realistically take?

I use a 25 gallon barrel with a faucet strapped to my fel to do exactly what you want to do. I have my blade mounted on the 3 point for a counter balance.

I don't have the 3pt specs on a b4200, but it can't be much. 220 lts. is 58 gallons, 558 pounds, 208 kg. Check yours specs. If the 3pt. can handle that much weight plus whatever mount you make, go for it. If not get a smaller container.

I don't have the answer (my inclination is to say it'll likely work with a little counter weight on the nose) but wanted to say within the past couple weeks there was a small build thread (with pics) on here from a guy who did exactly what you want to do.

Search for it and/or someone will post a link maybe.

I think it will. If not, just don't fill it completely.

The 3pt on my B7200 will not lift my 60 gallon sprayer if its full. It maxes out around 40 gallons.
