Question for you CJ3 guys- Why is the hood taller on this model? Different engine/carb/intake setup? Just a cosmetic body style change? I've always wondered, but never investigated because I've always been a Landcruiser guy.
Always liked the high hood better, just because it's different & there are fewer around.

In 1953 Willys went from ( L head , flat head ) to the F head the F head has over head intake valves the exhaust valves still in the block , the high hood was to make room for valve cover and carberator .
