Want to buy L2502 but cold start has me re-thinking

Hi, am about to buy the L2502 till I came across this, am in Canada, someone said they Shimon the pump, am not sure I like that fix.
Anyone know if this issue fixed?
Am thinking to look at LX2620 again.

In a nutshell of you break the seal on the pump to change the timing or adjust the fuel. You can probably be assured that the warranty on the motor will be voided... That said. You can do it it's just that if something breaks on the motor it will be on your dime to fix it.

I posted the same issue above and I pulled the trigger on the new L2502. No issues whatsoever and the dealer has not had a single one with that issue. I don’t have a ton of hours on mine but it starts right up and runs great. Zero issues so far and would recommend it without hesitation.

I have a 2502 and closing in on the 100 hour mark. I haven't had this issue or any other issue with my tractor. Not sure what your concern is if they did have to shim the pump. That seems to be a logical solution if it was needed. The 2502 is a bigger, wider, heavier tractor than the 2620. You either need that or you don't. Personally, I would never have been happy with an LX series.

My dad had a wore out 74 Gran Torino station wagon that would use a quart of oil for every tank of gas.

It didn't smoke as much as that tractor.

I went to try out a new L2502 at my local dealer ready to buy. This was a brand new machine just delivered. It was about 40F degrees outside. Used glow plugs for about 7 or 8 seconds. The tractor ran really rough and blew out an excessive amount of blue and white smoke for well over 3 minutes. I have a 2012 BX25D and it will blow out a little smoke (mostly black) for a couple seconds on cold start. The dealer said they are aware of the issue and Kubota should have a fix soon. However, this fix has been discussed since December online with no update on a schedule. In Canada, I read they were able to adjust (shim) the injectors to fix it. However, this increased HP so I suspect they can't do it in US with EPA regs. They made changes to the engine and injection system from the L2501 and I understand the L2501 did not have this problem. I like the L2502 upgrades but will not buy one until they fix this issue. It smokes worse then my 1960s MF 135 with scored cylinder walls. Does anyone here have information on the L2502 smoke fix or have experience with this model? I teally like everything else about this tractor but I am now considering other models or manufactures. Whenever I see this I check the fuel first, maybe mixed with gasoline

I'm gonna look into this model to see if there are any campaigns

My wife and I had a 78 Monte Carlo back in 92 when we first got married.

We would ask the neighbors for their old oil when they changed their oil, and kept a "one gallon milk jug" of used oil behind the front seat so that we could add oil to it every time we filled up with gas....

Had lots of fun in that car (and one kid)......hahahahahh

I called it the "mosquito chaser"..........

If the "oil light" came on when we were driving, we would just pull over and "fill her up".....

Ahhhhhh.....To be 20 again!!!!

When I was young my dad had a 1950 Chevy suburban that got about 10 miles to the quart of oil. Burned oil but ran really good. We would go to Sears with 5 gallon cans to buy recycled oil they sold in bulk. I think it was around 5 cents a quart. We used it to haul stuff to our cabin 150 miles away and one way would take almost 5 gallons of oil and 10 gallons of gas.
